My fave is We Go Up, the more I listen the more I like it.
I also really like Beautiful Time, it's like a chill song they can sing without dancing between the upbeat tracks at concerts while everyone in the audience waves their lightsticks. That Haechan high note elevated me. Another Dream bside favorite of mine after Walk You Home.
Drippin is very 127, kinda like a less noisy version of Chain. I can almost hear where Taeyong's throaty growls would come in, where Doyoung and Taeil would harmonize.
i didn't like We Go Up's chorus before but appreciate the simplicity now. it's energetic hype and positive and that's really all that i want from nct dream tbh.
1,2,3 is such a smooth throwback, ofc it was written by the stereotypes. haechan ate that song up but the rest of them sound good too! really surprised by jeno when i watched the live stage.
Beautiful Time is a very dream song? the guitar reminds me of something off of their We Young album but much more mature vocals than what we got a year ago. i love the beautiful bridge from renjun and haechan (yes op that falsetto!!) mark yelling 기억해줘 at the end really brings it back to the theme to mark (haha) this as his goodbye album
Drippin is so good. great uptempo addition that separates itself from the title track and could probably be a promoted on it's own (not sure what the water sounds between them are about but it works). i love the beat, the harmonies, love that prechorus, esp the part chenle and mark sing. too bad this song has to bring out the trashiest nctzens. it's nowhere near as dirty in korean but ofc stans gotta ruin it.......
Dear DREAM is the dreamies' (minus mark) best rap performance. i love the instrumentals. again, the vocal harmonies. haechan singing "i'll be your home, i'll be your heart". none of the lyrics aside from that are repeated and i really can't get into any of it without turning into a mess but what they wrote was so genuine and moving and just the sweetest send off for mark. it's an emotional song that doesn't ever overstay its welcome, even if you're not in the right mood. just the perfect end to the album and this era of nct dream.
Seriously!!! He has one of my favorite voices in NCT and it's so underused! It's so unique and it really cuts through the milky voices of Doyoung, Taeil, and Jaehyun. It's a shame to think that after he graduates from Dream that voice won't be heard much anymore.
its this mini's my page for me, i can't stop listening. absolute perfection!!!!! drippin is a bop and it didn't remind me of chain at all tbh. the ending is kinda bothering me tho cause rj's last line sounds weird? like he was insecure about it and its noticeable idk. the lyrics....i love you kids. dear dream made me cry without reading the lyrics and a ton more after i read them. js's part especially bc he doesn't show his feelings often. when he says "even if we are on the same boat, you're on a different ocean alone" i felt that. we go up grew on me immensely since the first time i heard it, but i still feel like something is missing during the bridge. perhaps im too used to dh's high notes there. im not that much into ballads (unless its shinee) but beautiful time is pleasant enough and they all sound great.
I can't stop to listen Drippin I love that song so much. I low-key wish it was given to 127 so they could promote it. I'm tired of see NCT hoe anthems wasted as b-sides.
This is a very solid album I'm super proud of the Dreamies and I'll cherish this line distribution while I can
