I still can't believe how the trajectory of her career went down when she had all the hype and possibilites in 2012 and then JYPe basically did not have a slightest idea what to with her&Yerin/wasted so many both girls' years...

Yea I feel this scenario could’ve easily occurred under YG, having idols that had the general public’s interests and not actually utilizing their talents and basically killing time till they can release them should not be happening at big companies

Basically. All these big 3 companies don't know/don't want to manage solo artists, so are basically left on their own until their contract ends. It's really shitty and these companies shouldn't sign people if they aren't able to manage them properly. Granted, with Jimin's case, it's out of obligation, and honestly, she's not that marketable and won't be making JYP big bucks, so of course they're treating her this way.

Even with 2PM and Wonder Girls, after they were past their prime, those who wanted to pursue solo music had to basically produce their own music because JYP just DGAF and does not have the time or resources for them. I feel bad for Fei since she's just twiddling her thumbs at this point until her contract ends. She had that one solo song that went nowhere and maybe a variety show, but you don't see her at all now. I'm willing to bet she wished she left with Jia.

And I mean, in general, it's hard for solo artists to make it big when the music industry is so congested with idols.

Honestly, her last album wasn't for me, but I'm excited to see what she will do for this album! Reading that Kino is working on it with her, I hope it's more in the direction of MOLA :D
