FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T FOLLOW NCT: NCT Dream is a unit meant for the youngest members of NCT and once they hit legal adult age they "graduate" and stop performing with that unit. Mark was their first leader but other than that he'll promote with the dream members in future U comebacks and in their annual NCT Yearbook projects.

nothing rly. I will add context to the post but basically he moves on from promoting with dream and just sticks with the other units he's currently in.

NCT Dream is intended to be a group for all the youngest NCT members and usually only have a comeback during school breaks (i think i know the always have a summer comeback because of school)

I'm in the pro-graduation concept with Dream.

Dream lets the kids still perform but a chance to also focus on school and have a bit of time to be with their non-idol friends and family. They have 2 comebacks a year and then the occasional special promotion but they don't have the schedule 127 has, prob not even half (except mark and haechan who have more than both units but anyway -_-). Once they're old enough they should be moved up to units with people who can promote the same hours and times they can. 127 and the china unit will probably be the only "fixed units" and i'm using that term loosely cuz 127 added 2 members when they were a "fixed Unit".

yeah i'm for the graduation concept but....how many trainees does sm really have in the dungeon to be able to sustain nct dream? once the '00 liners are gone the group will fizz out. and the new rookies they announced are like '99 and '00 if i'm not mistaken so it's not like they'll be added into the group probably.

I think they’ll either dissolve dream once sm chooses to close out nct’s numbers and everyone’s aged out. Or they might just make it whoever is the youngest overall in nct.

I know they say that nct has an infinite number of members but rly I don’t see them adding more people indefinitely but who tf knows maybe sm will finally make this multi-national subunit thing work.

Im pleased we get an OG lineup comeback before he graduates. Dreams graduation concept is the smartest imo Like we get a hard info of how long they are in and the nature if nct means well see the dreamies promote together in other ways

Thinking forward, I do wonder if Sm has some bb trainees stashed away for when 00line graduates or if the unit will eventually go on hiatus

Also, I hope theres some sort of uplifting sappy song about Marks graduation a la vitamin C I want some tears!

But seriously, I think the graduation system is fine, especially for Dream since they have such a young concept. That way, we don't have the male equivalent of Irene (who's currently 27, singing "banana," and dressed as a girl scout). I don't know too much about NCT but I know Mark is in all of the groups, so lightening his load a bit will probably be nice for him.

nct dream is honestly one of the only kpop groups where I feel like the graduation system makes total sense. it will always be sad because we get attached to the members and their dynamics, but it would be weird to have full adults in a group which concept is being a teenager after all lol and they will still be nct members, doing stuff in other units. it's not like with after school where graduating meant a member leaving the whole group...

idk how sm will deal with 00 liners next year though.

Semi-off topic, but last night I had a dream I was at a huge NCT event/concert and I was sitting up in the crowd but Johnny was sitting just a few seats away from me and we were friends? Like we were talking to each other all chill and stuff. It's funny how your brain will make something seem so real and then when you wake up you're like... oh.

Anyway, I like the graduation concept, since Dream is a childish group and that would suck for adult men to have to keep doing that.
