I'm not mad that rollin rollin won but I am mad that they dressed 13/14-year-old Jang Wonyoung in suspenders (for a silly fun not-sexy song!!!!) and I'm glad that Rumor is doing the best on the charts because I think it was the best song & performance. Sae slayed again, a shame she doesn't get the vote benefit because I assume she's still low in the votes. It was a really strong team.

Poor Heo Yunjin. She's still young, I hope the public can forget their ridiculous rage over the tiny center incident for whenever she eventually debuts.

Wonyoung's outfit horrified me. It's possible to dress young girls in clothes that aren't overly sexual or revealing (e.g. Gfriend or Twice's debut era). What are the stylists thinking?

Yea I’m not ok with how these really young girls are sexualized, I know it’s an issue as a whole in kpop but I feel like it’s very noticeable on this show. On my IG feed a clip of Somi appeared during a performance for IOI and I can’t remember if it was for, but she was basically in the pose with another member when you’re about grind against your partner at the club, and my immediate thoughts was she was either 15/16 when this was taped...I don’t need to see that

my fave perf was 1000% and rumor. i love all the songs but these perf all seemed kinda awkward. dont know why they kicked kaeun outta center SHE WAS DOING FINE, lowkey annoyed of ahn yoojin and dont see her appeal anymore tbh, she was pretty boring as center anyways! at this point, im kinda meh at all the perfs tho and the ranking

The whole cutie-sexy thing was bullshit. What do they want Gaeun to do, break out finger hearts and aegyo? None of the other girls were especially cute. Yena was being sexy, Juri was subtly sexy, Yunjin wasn't being sexy but she wasn't being cute either, she was working her natural stage presence. Wide eyed blank stare =/= cute. I feel like they tried to use the opportunity to push AYJ but it backfired since all the comments I've seen translated about the performance are annoyed about it.

totally agree with those 2 songs. So catchy and such great performances. I wish one of them won. Rollin rollin was my least fave but I guess I just hate how the lyrics are so bad, reminds me of how annoyed I was with "yum yum" in season 1.

Ive always thought Yoojin is gorgeous but her high ranking has always surprised me since the beginning. She isn't the best dancer or singer or visual in the whole show. No sad story, no underdog drama, sometimes I forget about her, yet she still beats all my faves lol.

She's an average at best singer/dancer/rapper, she's not unnatractive but doesn't have stand out looks imo and she only looks mildly invested in anything she's doing on stage. She looks exactly like some girl just plucked out of the crowd who's kind of awkward but trying, I guess.
I really wish I could understand her appeal considering her votes and how much of a fuss people make over her.

Im still salty the judges gave her an A ranking over more talented girls out there. It's like they primed her to be center because only A ranks get center in the main song. Sakura's voices had always been shaky to me and her dancing is ok.

I do not know much about jpop, but when the first teasers were released and everyone hyped Sakura, I felt like she resembled SNSD Yoona a little bit, there was something in face structure I found similar.
I thought this girl must be gorgeous.

Later I kind of did not see any standout visuals from her, but I ended up liking her the most out of j-trainees.

I liked MOST of the performance. Tbh only two of them I just didn’t care for.

Rollinx2 was a solid team. They dressed that baby like that...I’m just learning who Wonyoung is. And when I saw her I saw a kid. The performance was fun though. Not amazing and I don’t think worth #1, but we appreciate a light hearted track. We Stan Honda Hitomi.

To Reach You- I liked the team. I also, as much as I love Go Uen, think Yuri just seems...better. Both they high notes are meh, but there is a lot more oomph in Yuri imo. I just learned who Chae won is and we also stan. Nako has been thriving and she not even the main focus 🤷🏾‍♂️ Gyuri is...she’s present. I didn’t care for her during Idol School (people were saying she was worth it though), and a second show not doing much for me.

Rumor- they were great! I hate that awkward ass twerking and that one girl was pretty much shouting in her mic (is that Chowon?). This is he first time I’ve actually cared about Eunbi. She’s solid, she’s reliable and I think she is going to be good for the group, but like...never invested.
See You Again- one of the performances I did not like. I don’t think the group itself was bad but the song was aight and I felt like there were just boring gaps within the actual performance. That being said Miyu adjusting her singing to sound more K pop was something.

1000%- I have basically kept a stan everyone from SIXTEEN lifestyle, so watching Chaeyeon thrive was nice. Miho (that’s the girl that lost the main vocal position?) was good. I think this was a solid group...and yet they got fifth place...y’all are ugly and don’t have taste. I though this was at least worthy of third or second. I think a lot of the performances you can just switch them out for each other and it wouldn’t be off. And this was definitely better than some others.

I Am- That was worthy of last place. The issue is not the group itself and hell even Yunjin being center wasn’t a bad option, but like I feel like the VIBE of the song and what the actual performance turned into just ruined it. They didn’t want it to be sexy, but like a mix of sexy and cute. But the song is more so confident and it get like all the higher ups (producers, stylists, choreographers) were wanting different things did anybody really sit and think this through. Also stop rapping. They had the worst raps in the bunch. And Juri is pretty much In the same space as Miyu. Making it by with what little she can get. I don’t see 3 people in this group having issues in the polls, but like this was a low point in terms of performance.

At this point people who I want are not making it sans a few fighting chances.
Hitomi (she’s at 13 right now but I don’t see her not getting in when she has been so strong from the jump), Nako (she’s tiny and precious) are pretty much okay. Chaeyeon suddenly became rocky but I think these last couple of episodes were meant to push her back in and keep her there. I want Juri and Yuri but the lord isn’t seeing it for them like that. Other than that I don’t care who makes it.

Ahh rumor, the song that could've been.

I wish they allowed for 6 girls per team and kept the top 36 girls instead of top 30. Season 1 kept top 35 girls in the concept eval. This way my girl Yujin could've stayed and stayed this performance.

I honestly think they did Chowon dirty by forcing her to be the rapper. I get that the team has no rapper, period, but Chowon would've served that song justice as main vocal. Eunbi is good but her voice is too soft/sweet to be main vocal for a song like Rumor. Sae should've been center because girl had the looks for it, instead of that Suzy lookalike. I also feel like the dancing wasn't as oomph because of the outfits. Those short shorts look tight and uncomfortable and they can't move their hips as much. Overall, such a missed win. It had so much potential.

I enjoyed only Rollin Rollin stage.
Wonyoung shines on stage, I think she is the only girl this season with stage presence and star potential.

I do not like Eunbi much, but she was the only good part of Rumour.

See you again was cute and I was enjoying it until rap part started.

I could not even finish the rest of performances, Minjoo is gorgeous, Yena is cute, but the performances were so boring.

Genuine question: Why do any of these songs have rap parts at all?

I understand when it's a cover, and I understood on season one and two when people considered their part to be rapper, but Produce 48 has virtually no rappers. They didn't even have "Rap" as an option during the last evaluation. For a good chuck of these girls, Korean isn't even their first language. So, why would songwriters, who are writing songs specifically for this show, put a rap in it at all?

Aside from that, everything is pretty lackluster this time around. "Rumor" is probably the best overall, and it had the most views on Youtube last time I checked, so international fans like it, but it's the lowest charting song on Melon. The rest were in the top 100 at the time, and it wasn't.

I echo want most of your were saying about how they dressed Wonyoung too. She is a child and they're giving her the Somi treatment. I don't like it. It's really a mess. You can see her safety shorts the whole time! Not just at a certain angle, or for a particular move, the.entire.time. That's how short they are.

Also, snaps to Daehwi because it seems like his song is doing the best and I forgot he writes/produces. Good for you, kiddo!

Reaching You - This performance was my favorite. They looked like a debuted idol group and everyone was strong vocally. The decision to split the high notes was a great one.

1000% - I was so proud of how much they accomplished since most of the team had to be moved around.

I Am - They slayed. I actually liked Yoojin as the center, and this was the first time I bought into her hype. Also, based on what I had seen previously, I felt Kaeeun was overhyped as well, but after this I got why people love her so much. The song was perfect for her and she has amazing stage presence. I don't understand why this was interpreted as a "cute song" by the composers. The choreography definitely didn't match that interpretation.

Rollin' Rollin' - I'm a little disappointed that they won. It was a fun performance, but Rumor and Reaching You were better imo.

Rumor - Eunbi is such a stable vocalist. I wish Chowon got to sing though. She's better at that than rapping. Sian was absolutely amazing, and at times she felt more like the center than Shihyun did.

Let's Meet Again - It's a cute song! Haeyoon sounded wonderful.
