Or has Hongbin joined in on the jokes about N's skin tone and I just couldn't find anything about it? (Also reading that stuff made me so sad because when I tried to get into them when they debuted, N was my original fave)
Hongbin definitely has, I don't have the proof ready though.
Yeah what it makes it so frustrating is it went on for so long? People will say "it hasn't happened since 2016" and okay, I'm glad they stopped, but that was still 4 years of mocking N's skin tone? Like why did it take you so long to listen to N saying "stop, that hurts my feelings"? I think int'l fans even had a petition at one point, like please....
I feel like there's a hidden countdown timer of "days since VIXX's last colorist nonsense" and somebody's just waiting to reset it to zero.
Ugh, poor N, I feel so bad for him. I am glad that they stopped but yeah it sucks that it took so long for that to happen.
I'm trying to figure out if it's better or worse that most of their colorist shit seems to have stayed within the group. On one hand, they aren't nearly as messy as groups like Mamamoo and Super Junior where blackface isn't even surprising anymore and they never seem to learn from their mistakes. But on the other hand, they were hurting someone they should be close with and making him the butt of the jokes for things he has no control over and has likely had to deal with people giving him shit about his entire life.
I feel like the only group that's safe to stan anymore is KARD :/
Yeah, it's a decision everyone has to make for themselves. I'm on the side of "I'm glad they stopped, don't do it anymore," but I understand why it's too much for some people.
