“Familiar Wife” is about salaryman Cha Joo Hyuk (played by Ji Sung) and his wife, working mom Seo Woo Jin (played by Han Ji Min). Chae Joo Hyuk is able travel back and forth between the past and the present. At one point, a choice he makes in the past brings about a very different present, and the show builds on the idea of what-if as the story unfolds.

Jang Seung-jo plays Ji Sung’s co-worker and friend, while Kang Hanna will probably complicate matters as our hero’s first love. Vixx’s N plays to his strengths as an oddball sort, although this time he’s an oddball with the topmost schooling and specs. Park Hee-bon plays Ji Sung’s younger sister, while Park Won-sang keeps things tough and results-oriented.

The drama comes from writer Yang Hee-seung of bubbly rom-coms Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-ju, Oh My Ghostess, and High School King of Savvy, and PD Lee Sang-yub of Shopping King Louis.

"Wife I Know," also known as "Familiar Wife," premieres Wednesday, August 1 on tvN.

I'll probably at least check it out just because I've liked the writer's and director's past works and I like the cast, even if the premise doesn't particularly interest me.
