I agree. I would go even further back and say since Red Flavor. But it’s not surprising when you take into account that the top ggs of this generation are basically sexed up versions of their 2nd generation predecessors. SNSD, 2NE1, and f(x) were never made to appeal to male fans the way Twice, BlackPink, and now Red Velvet are.

the one from itnw in the last chorus. they weren't really seen as sexy until genie but it's still an interesting choice of choreo to me as you can see their underwear (or rather their safety shorts). kissing you is also not technically sexy but it's infantilizing as hell which is just as bad

I get Kissing You, but the kick from ITNW is literally just the climax of the song and choreography. It’s one of the few times in kpop where it’s not an obvious ploy to get an upskirt shot.
