I am looking forward to watching these after work tomorrow but obv I had to check out Kaeun's, naturally she was amazing and thank goodness she got that hair in time. You can see the difference in the way her body moves compared to other trainees.

I needed Wonyoung to not be in that performance. Sian was there, and that was about it, not a great 'center'. Yiren, Miru and Gaeun all did great though!

Don't You Know team is so far my favorite. I'm really looking forward to Into The New World next week.

When did Han Chowon suddenly learn to sing? Is this the same girl who awkwardly covered a Hyuna song during the audition? That harmony was beautiful. I hope her momentum will continue and she might end up in the top 12.

Kang Hyewon... she's terrible at rapping, but Ilh. She's so endearing and always tries her best.

Sorry Not Sorry would've been better w/o Yena and Yoojin. Yena looked so awkward, whoever is voting for her needs to stop after this performance.

Side To Side team had the same issues as Sorry Not Sorry. Watching Wonyoung dance to this song made me almost feel like a criminal. Miru's part was really short, but she's so expressive on stage. I get why everyone voted for her.

Chowon mentioned in the episode that she majors in practical music! And I've seen some stuff floating around on twitter that she got into Cube for her acting skills, but I need to actually see some sources...

I agree with your thoughts re: Wonyoung in Side to Side team. It feels so awkward to watch the younger ones in that number. I know she's cute and all, but. I don't really want her in the final group.

these performances were kinda... just ok. lots of hairflipping. that's all i can remember.
i really liked miru in "side to side" tho! glad she was #1 in her team. i think i would even really enjoy this performance if not for wonyoung in this team. that was something i didn't need to see and i'd like her to stay away from such performances, ty. the fact that she was first of second on total ranking poll after this ep makes everything even creepier.

Han Chowon finally receiving the recognition she deserves. I was shocked she ranked so low for boombayah when she was basically the only one who fit the concept and did decent.

That side to side dance was underwhelming, and I was looking forward to it. And the vocals were a choice.

Hmmm at Ahn Yunjin ranking higher than anybody else in her team for dance.

Han Chowon! YESSS bby girl, she rising. I hope she climbs to top12, i'd love to see her debut. i like jo yoori's voice, and Miru looks good.
overall, i felt underwhelmed with every perf (prob cuz i do not like any of the songs) ESP the dance performances. they just seemed so lackluster and awkward. and I'm sorry, i cannot with those extensions in kaeun's hair, they're fugly

13 year old wonyoung dancing to side to side... good fucking bye. the fact that she's a candidate for #1 is so fucking annoying. i'm glad netizens have noticed that mnet is biased towards yuehua and starship trainees (or rather only yena, yujin and wonyoung and maybe a bit of yiren as the others get no screentime). i've made my peace with yujin and wonyoung making it in the top 12 but hopefully yena won't.

don't know you was the best. i wondered why chowon didn't take the rap during boombayah but i didn't know she could sing that well. in retrospect it's a good thing boombayah team 2 won as if they didn't chowon wouldn't have made it.

chaeyeon not winning (and even ranking below yujin) is criminal. eunbi was just fine. sakura's reaction when chaeyeon did that kick was so cute.

Don't You Know was my favorite performance from this episode, and I'm so glad Chowon made it to this round. Hopefully she becomes a dark horse and makes it to the finals.

As much as I want Kaeun to step on me bc of Side to Side, most of the performances were a bit. Underwhelming? Especially the dance ones since we had Bang Bang, Growl, Shape of You and Get Ugly from previous seasons.

After rewatching the dance position vids my thoughts are:

Chaeyeon was robbed
but also the choreo was still a mess, with way too much hair flipping
the camera work was terrible

Kaeun, really stood out, though the camera was v biased, but she fitted the song.
The Yiren gymnastic moves were unnecessary and added nothing
and with Wonyoung, I am reminded of the "healthy pornography" comment from the PD

they know what they are doing.

the girls are desperate, but the adults around them should do better.


The contestant really should be 16+
