Chungha Expresses Gratitude To Baek Yerin For Writing Track On New Album

Chungha expressed her gratitude to Baek Yerin for writing a song for her new album.

On July 18, Chungha held a showcase to celebrate the release of her third mini album “Blooming Blue.” On this day, Chungha opened up about her experience working with Baek Yerin on the track “From Now On.”

Chungha said, “Baek Yerin and I were actually friends back when I used to be a JYP Entertainment trainee. We lost contact but we were able to reconnect by chance. She told me, ‘I’m so happy that you’re doing so well, and I’m so happy that I get to give you a song I wrote that I have a lot of affection for.'” She continued to state, “The first song I finished recording was ‘From Now On.’ I want to take this opportunity to thank her once again.”

“Blooming Blue” is Chungha’s third mini album that will show how much she has grown and gained confidence. The title track “Love U” has a tropical sound and is a summer song that perfectly blends a beautiful melody and Chungha’s unique voice. The mini album was released on July 18 at 6 p.m. KST, check out the music video for “Love U”!

Chungha Scores High On Major Realtime Music Charts With “Love U”

Chungha’s newest release is off to a strong start!

The solo artist made a comeback on July 18 at 6 p.m. KST with her third mini album “Blooming Blue,” which features title track “Love U.”

As of 8 a.m. KST on July 19, the track is No. 1 on four out of six major Korean music sites’ realtime charts — Genie, Bugs, Mnet, and Soribada — as well as on Olleh Music’s. “Love U” is also in the top 10 on the realtime charts of Melon and Naver, and has been seeing a notable rise in ranks.

Her previous title track “Roller Coaster,” released in January 2018, also had a strong showing on major realtime music charts.

Chungha will be showcasing her first music show performance of “Love U” on the July 19 broadcast of Mnet’s “M!Countdown.”

she's always had a pretty pronounced chin, but I think it's more obvious since she lost weight going solo. The fingertip and crush performances are probably the most obvious when she was in p101, but she's definitely lost weight since then, she reminds me of raina in terms of losing baby fat in her cheeks that's the best comparison I can think of

I think she got a chin implant, she's gained a few milimeters of chin between the videos and the pictures, lol. Also it was too sudden to be weightloss, she was fine before she shot the MV.

I only want the best for her and I love Cherry Kisses, Love U's choreography and the fact they let her sing in a slightly lower range ...but I'm not feeling it overall.

The song is generic and the concept too formulaic for me so I won't be too bothered if she doesn't get her #1 especially with all the big names coming back. I want her to do a dark pop/r'n'b track!
