Synopsis: Narcissistic Lee Young Joon, the vice president of a company run by his family, is very self absorbed and thinks highly of himself, so much so that he barely acknowledges the people around him. Lee Young Joon has a capable and patient secretary in Kim Mi So who has remained by his side and worked diligently for 9 years without any romantic involvement. When Mi So decides to resign from her job, hilarious misunderstandings ensue. After 9 years of their strictly-workplace relationship, can it now develop in something more?

Date: 2018-07-18 03:44 am (UTC)in ep 12 especially, that entire scene with youngjoon and his parents and then with his brother was done SO well. you really got to see all the complex parts of the conflict. and as much as his parents made a horrible decision to take the easy route, it was so cathartic to see them all confront it and start to heal together :') drama of the year tbh!!!!

Date: 2018-07-19 02:25 am (UTC)WHY was he talking to her doctor about her health outside of her presence? I see this in kdrama's periodically, but she was clearly competent and awake, so why isn't she involved in her own health decisions and knowledge????
Once I saw that scene it influenced everything else, so I keep seeing him as sort of crossing boundaries all the time. Even the ending scene, all romantic and shit, except hasn't she signaled a lot that she's not ready for super sexy time? It seems she gets on board, and he doesn't push that hard, but there is kind of a long-standing dynamic between them ....
I dunno, maybe I'm influenced because I just had to boot a formerly lovely dude for excessive co-dependent boundary crossing and am extra cranks over it ....
