DJ DOC to return with a new album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Legendary KPOP group DJ DOC plans to make a comeback with their 7th album this June, which would hold some significance because it's going to be their 15th anniversary in June.

DJ DOC stands for "Dream of Children" and debuted in 1994. They hit their peak in popularity in the late 90's. A Japanese artist named DJ OZMA did some covers of DJ DOC's songs and had some hits in Japan with it. The 4th album from DJ DOC is arguably one of the greatest KPOP albums of all time (except for the last track).

Author's note: I grew up listening to DJ DOC and these guys actually had talent. They had to, just look at their faces... they couldn't get popular based on their mugs alone. Usually this would be the time I make fun of a group, but I won't because I actually like DJ DOC except for the fat guy.

My notes: Yeah I grew up listening them too, oh Pump It Up is so glorious.

This is a copy of my LJ email to shanny:

well I just submitted the Min Ho plastic surgery post to ONTD (I thought it would get thought bcos there are BOF fans + plastic surgery discussion will make it less 'korean orientated').

At the end of the post I put this:

"If you miss Korean/BOF posts, come and join our ONTD spinoff community: OMO NA THEY DIDN'T (.gif spamming essential)."


They rejected the post for this reason:

No promotions. This is your warning.


WTF...AND a warning? WTF!! How is anyone supposed to know that Kposts are still around, but we have moved cos the mods don't accept them. I was polite enough to leave that part out of the original post.

Ugh...I wonder if I should resubmit, and then post the 'promotion' in the comment, or just not worry. I honestly want to send them an email about why this so called 'promotion' should be exempt from their rules.

And you understand now why I don't post anymore at that comm, they also rejected my ANTM post.

Obvs they're cockblocking us for making a comm, and they don't want us to share because they know that a lot of ppl follow korean news..

And the people who can post are maybe mod's friends or ppl who want to be ~popular~

I suggest you.. don't resubmit they'll reject you again like they did with me, but if you want to resubmit, do it.

mm..i don't want to resubmit because I am angry at the situation, but at the same time I feel it's a case of- what about the peeps who did read korean/bof posts and aern't aware they still exist?

For instance, another person at HydKorea said 'oh, i was wondering what happened to the Korean posts' when I linked to us.

That's my issue. We are told to make another comm (we didn't ask to), but we can't let the K-readers know that we have. We're not allowed to post, but we're also not allowed to 'promote'. Mind you, the post I made was genuine. ugh.

And I see now they have a 'no promotions' clause in their rules, but I feel this case is exceptional- it is not a promotion for the sake of promotion, it's a notification because of the mods, not because of us. Otherwise, no 'promoting' would have to go on.

I know bb.. In my case, I'll spend my weekend pming all our commenters about our new community because I think it's unfair that they still don't know what happened with our posts, but if we promote our comm in the comments, mods delete or screen them |: assholes.

Without big promotions we reached +200 members, if we could promote in that racist comm we'd have moar members.. but i'll think about it later, i need to sleep, try to relax gurl!

haha yeah i will. it's all good- at least here we are safe to post away. i've stopped going to ONTD these days anyways, because I'm totally immersed in learning about Korean entertainment, it's so much more fun.

koreansongs, I think that's a good idea to pm the kpost commenters. I was so happy to see this community growing even though you mods couldn't appropriately promote.
