sakura is so captivating!

choi yena and kwon eunbi are pretty talented but honestly boring. they lack something and i don't know what it is but it's just kinda bland watching them perform...

also i'm rooting for yabuki nako, the cutie from f class who i think made it to a class? haven't watched the latest ep but i'm sure she went up a bunch of levels. she dances so cleanly and is super cute :')

This comment is probably going to be too long (and it's even my post), but here we go.

I like a lot of trainees right now, so I could easily choose a least favorite, but not my ultimate favorite. I've noticed that international fans aren't really talking about Yoojin from Starship. I like her and wish she'd get more screentime in the future episodes.

What did we do to deserve Takeuchi Miyu? I love her cute expression at the end. She's a beaming ray of sunshine and talented, yet she's humble. She thanked her fans in Japanese, Korean and English for voting for her on Instagram. She never made it in AKB48's general election and ,now , she's suddenly receiving so much attention. I've also listened to her covers on YouTube. I've been meaning to make a post about her, but then I'd probably have to make individual posts about other trainees as well...

Wang Yiren is freaking beautiful and she's not even 18 yet. She's gonna look even prettier in a few years. I literally feel like an ogre whenever I see her.

Jurina is so charismatic. Even when I was watching somebody else's fancam, my eyes were drawn to her. There's something about the way she carries herself that is indescribable. She's truly a legend.

That's Go Yoojin! She's a Blockberry Creative trainee. She's my underrated fave. Unfortunately, her singing was quite lackluster during the audition.



I don't really understand why Sakura is so popular... but she got that center position.

Blockberry Creative??? Damn she should’ve been in Loona! She is so charismatic to watch and lbr Loona dgaf about having good singers anyway lmao. I hope she goes on to do something big if she doesn’t make it, especially if the company has ideas for future groups (...they haven’t even debuted Loona officially so I’m thinking way too ahead lol) I’d rather have her in Loona than Yeojin...

Sakura is fun to watch too, but I think it’s just certain traits stand out to me more. Also - wow her fans are obnoxious based on what I just saw on YouTube

She was part of the potential lineup for Loona, but she didn't make the cut. I could see her going solo like Chung Ha. She's got a similar vibe.

This is gonna sound weird, but I prefer it when an idol has some sort of edge or unique trait/look? Not just cookie cutter perfect. Sakura's fans have always been very loud... however, their beloved little Miss Perfect has fat shamed a fellow member and reacted immaturely when she didn't win AKB48's general election this year (basically a huge event where all fans vote for their favorite members). Matsui Jurina won this year.

Also I feel bad for singling out Yeojin, she’s cute and I like her so far for the group - I just think youthful image doesn’t really fit Loona’s overall image but I know it’s a trend to have a ‘baby’ maknae. I’m sure it’ll change when she’s older like Seohyun in SNSD. If I had to single out someone it’s GoWon 😬 To be as nice as possible, I wish this Yoojin had her place lmao

considering the election I understand that they would want Jurina in Japan and Sakura in SK, HKT got other girls who can easily be the center now, but really Sakura is just not that good and no amount of editing can make people believe that she is talented.

Before this I knew next to nothing about AKB48 lmao, but my favs so far are Gaeun, Jurina, Kim Choyeon, Takeuchi Miyu, and Yamada Noe. I like Sakura okay, I just find her a bit bland, though I guess I feel that way about a lot of the contestants lmao. To be fair, I've only watched clips because I can't be bothered with Mnet's editing. Jurina's is definitely my fav fancam though, I've watched it like 3 times already. It's uncanny how her facial expressions match the lyrics perfectly; you can tell she's a seasoned performer.

i'm cracking up at how jurina's completely stealing the show in that sakura fancam lmfao. sakura is a cute girl™ but she looks expressionless throughout the entire vid. jurina is magnetic, but her mature appearance makes it even more evident just how infantile this song is. idk the median age of the trainees, but i feel like they would all benefit from a song without a kidz bop vibe

out of the ones i've watched, i think noe yamada's perf is my fav. she has this bouncy energy and joy that seems genuine, and her moves are surprisingly strong and sharp. the c: smile she makes at times is rly cute as well
