though speculation had been heavy following the release of the first three videos that can be found under the cut: sm entertainment has confirmed through press release that the title track for the third and and final installment of shinee's the story of light ep series, "our page", was written by members onew, key, minho and taemin. articles state that the four members wrote the song together, with the lyrics "containing the members' hearts and feelings about jonghyun" and representing the message of "we're going to fill it (ie: the page) up together until the end". beyond this, it has also been confirmed that the final track on the ep / album, "lock you down", will be a special track featuring jonghyun's vocals. both the digital album and music video for the ep will be released today at 6pm kst.

I'm gonna sit out on LYD, but I'll listen to the rest of the album, the only song I can manage to listen to with jjong on it is Let Me Out, and that's about all I can take for a while now. I honestly didn't even mean to hear LMO, it just ended up being the only song I didn't delete when I temporarily removed jjong/shinee pre2018 on my playlists.

tbh. i don't think anyone was demanding him? i mean, yeah, some were but most were understanding about why he wasn't on most of the album after we started getting spoilers for the first ep b-sides. admittedly, i was hoping originally that he'd be on the album but that was for three reasons: we knew for a fact that he'd been working on songs for shinee / recordings for unreleased songs had happened last year with ot5, we wanted him to be included in the tenth anni release somehow due to how important it is to their career and legacy, and it was hard to think about music without him. honestly, i've seen more of the alternative anymore, at least on the k-blinger side: people not wanting him to be involved in anything shinee related because they think sm is trying to exploit off of his passing. but i don't think most of the people hoping he'd be on it were doing it maliciously. it's just a longing for him to be involved in any way possible. i pretty much knew that our page was going to be about him for awhile (both because of general instinct and something i was told) but i had no idea about lock you down. i'm grateful to get a song featuring him, though it's bittersweet and difficult because i know it'll probably be the last shinee song to ever feature his vocals and i'm frustrated knowing that because i KNOW there's other finished tracks and i hate knowing that his hard work is going to get shelved forever possibly.

but yeah. i'm honestly the opposite of you in regards to their music: i've barely listened to ep1 and the only song that i've heard from ep2 is i want you. because i can't stand listening to them without him - it hurts too much. it also hurts to listen to their older music sometimes but it's easier to me because at least he's there. it's just i can't get used to music without him - not after being a blinger, shawol and ot5er for seven years. it sucks. all of this does, lol.

Yeah for me I'm in the process of transitioning from Denial to Anger in my grief progress, and I end up projecting my frustrations on others, in this case fans that want him in the comeback. I wholeheartedly agree I think it's important to include him since 10 years is such an achievement, I'm just at a point where I'm denying that what happened is affecting me, and to cope with that I can't bring myself to listen to pre2018 SHINee anymore. I get frustrated and angry at myself that I've reached a point like that because I want to be able to enjoy 5HINee, but it just hurts so much hearing his voice. I didn't even process his lack of voice in the newer music because I just wanted so hard to make myself believe I wasn't upset and I could move on. So I'm at this weird point where I'm essentially shutting his voice out?

I don't really know how to explain it, but I'm seeing my old therapist from a few years ago and thankfully she's aware of K-Pop and her kid keeps her pretty up to date with it so it's really easy to talk about this stuff with her. It's so strange how we all grieve differently even though we're all in pain together. As a Locket I can understand how much this sucks, but I know it hurts that much worse for Blingers, and I'm always here if you need anything <3

yeah. being a blinger sucks. it's difficult and alienating - both myself and most of the other blingers that i know feel like we don't really have a place in shawol fandom anymore because all we do anymore is talk about the past when everyone else is enjoying tsol promotions and such so having him featured on the final ep was a nice gift, though i haven't been able to listen to lock you down yet because i don't want to face to possibility that it's probably the last time we'll ever hear his voice on something new. either way, i'm going to cherish it because, to me, shinee is the most complete in both feel and sound when it's the five of them involved. but the same goes for you. <3

This is just what i wanted tbh, a 10th anniversary album without his voice is just wrong imo I could not listen to the other songs or watch the mvs cause i can't deal with his absence in their songs so lock me down will problably the only song i will listen for now, i'm not sure about our page.

It's going to be hard but I'm glad Jonghyun is featured on the album. There are probably so many more songs he completed and using them all would feel a bit... exploitative from SM? But picking one as a conclusion for their 10th anniversary release feels right, especially with the single being dedicated to him.

i think it’s a great step from sm to have him on the last song of their 10th anniversary. it’s not a ballad either so let’s remember him as he wanted us to: the most extra person alive.
i still miss him everyday but okmt has been making it a lot easier for me for some reason.. they’re so strong and i’m so proud of them.

Our page is the only song I've been able to listen to since he passed. I still feel sad whenever I see ot4 and watching them at SMTown Dubai made me so upset.
