On June 24, GOT7’s Youngjae posted on Instagram to ask sasaengs to stop invading his privacy.

In addition to posting a photo of his dog Coco, he wrote, “Stop sending me KakaoTalk messages. Please. Stop. It’s been going on for five months. Seriously, please. stopstopstopstopstopstopstopstopstop”

This isn’t the first time that GOT7 has spoken out about sasaengs.

In June 2016, Youngjae politely asked fans to stop invading his privacy via a post on his Instagram. In September of the same year, fellow GOT7 member Jackson was involved in a car accident due to fans following him on his way to the airport in China.

In July 2017, GOT7’s Mark also wrote about being followed to their dorm from the airport by fans and asked them to stop.

kakaotalk is connected to your phone number so he'd have to get an entirely new phone number (which he's likely done before) to get rid of the sasaengs...but they'd just get his number again anyway

I don't know how much new age saesang fans have but the horror stories from Suju and DBSK days are still absolutely batshit to me.

Same. I know basically everyone in Korea uses Kakaotalk, but if you're an idol you have to sacrifice anything connected to your actual personal info (especially all the instagram hacks lately)

SK needs to step up on their harassment/stalker laws, but the companies need to stop egging them on by making idols seem like "property" of the fans and still referring to saseangs as fans when they clearly are not

I imagine some do because they "reach their goal" or they get harassed by other saesangs. It'll be a lull before it picks up again but I mean I'd take a bit of quiet where I can if I was in his position

that what, when they decide to sue these asses, they can prove that they have tried everything to stop them on their own. also, some sasaengs will be like "i didnt know that he would sue me pls dont throw me to jail" so this can act as a last warning.

ok being serious, it's not easy maintaining composure with such incidents, and I hope SK's telecoms have a way of trying to make it easier (i.e. porting over and blocking). but I heard some telcos have sasaengs in them so that's why numbers also get leaked?
