Iirc The Stereotypes (who produced the song) actually said they thin Bad Boy is not a song that would sell in the States. It's one of the rare kpop song demos that was produced specifically with an artist and the genre in mind, SM brought them in for a song camp.

I assume the song was written with the English lyrics first and then an SM songwriter wrote the Korean lyrics. That's how most SM songs get written.
