Article: 'Produce 48' Lee Gaeun #1, Kwon Eunbi #3
1. [+1,984, -286] Sakura's greed for winning is no joke... Her eyes when she was being compared to Mayu almost made me piss my pants. Being greedy is fine and all but it's going to hurt a lot when things don't work out later. She needs to loosen up a bit.
2. [+1,628, -182] They're totally trying to promote the Japanese idols more. Are the screentimes for our country's trainees Yoojin, Wonyoung, Gaeun, and Eunbi real life? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
3. [+1,088, -54] Gaun and Sakura both worked the hardest at learning Japanese and Korean
4. [+917, -118] The Korean kids rehearsed all night without sleeping but the PDs edited the footage to look like Sakura was the only one who memorized the lines and the Korean kids didn't ㅋ are they really throwing the Korean kids under the bus to promote Sakura?
5. [+714, -174] Expected Gaeun to be #1~
6. [+274, -17] Eunbi, Gaeun, Chaewon, and Wonyoung are getting so much attention but they're not getting any screentime at all;; this is basically a Sakura special.
7. [+423, -170] Kwon Eunbi, let's debut ㅠ ❤
8. [+219, -5] Not enough screentime for Miyazaki Miho, she's so good at Korean and likes Korea a lot, what a shame
9. [+206, -31] Chaeyeonie has the best skills
10. [+175, -6] If they're going to push the Japanese members, at least push Takahashi Juri too... She knows all the Korean songs, she's talented, and she works the hardest at learning Korean. Why is she being ignored?
11. [+168, -4] Miyazaki Miho really likes Korea. She gets hate in Japan for it but still went on TV wearing hanbok and learned Korean on her own too. Please debut her ㅠㅠ
12. [+109, -5] Out of the Japanese, Miyu is the best at Korean and seems talented. I feel bad for the other kids because the show is clearly Sakura biased.
13. [+97, -2] It's clear that the PD's bias is Sakura ㅋㅋㅋ but it's understandable since this season is an AKB collab so the PDs need the most popular member to debut ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Who's obviously overrated or underrated by the judges/trainers? Who's going to be demoted? Will Mnet ever stop using the piano ver. of Naya Na?

Date: 2018-06-23 11:55 pm (UTC)Only the second episode and Mnet's editing is already suspicious. And what's the agenda this time? The first episode focused on the Japanese trainees' shortcomings, now it's the Korean trainees' mistakes and screentime is unfairly distributed.
BYJ was running her mouth during the evaluation. The paycheck must've been worth it.
Chaeyeon is a dance machine. She couldn't practice but learned the choreography and lyrics anyway on her own. Shiroma Miru is adorable has great stage presence, but she is definitely going to be demoted. If Go Yujin's singing improves, she'd be ready for her debut. Visually she's already perfect. Kim Choyeon's performance was... definitely something, but not worthy of an A. I think she's going to be demoted, too,
The CNC trainees are adorable, but please send them home to their parents. They're too young and innocent for this shitshow. Send Jang Wonyoung home, too. Let kids be kids.
I really love seeing the friendships between Japanese and Korean trainees. Did anybody catch the height difference between the YGK+ and AKB48 trainees during the practice session? It's like between a mom and her kindergarten kid.

Date: 2018-06-24 03:19 am (UTC)also I think there was no way they couldn't focus on the Japanese girls this episode, even if the netizens are mad about it. them going through a brand new form of training and the culture clashes are probably make more interesting TV than the stories of the Korean trainees who have been doing it their entire career.

Date: 2018-06-25 11:33 am (UTC)- Ha eun (from Chungha’s agency) is good. But I wonder what they’ll do with her after the show.
- Jurina was alright. Nothing about her performance was really impressive or memorable. But, she does have this air of confidence about herself and her abilities. Because most trainees are browbeaten about not being good enough, Jurina stands out in that regard
- Everyone dancing to “Heavy Rotation” was cute, staged and forced, but cute
- Block Berry’s trainee definitely has a Hyuna vibe but her skills are lacking. She’s really pretty though
- Sakura’s ranking seems like some kind of morale boaster and reason to place her in the center (to draw attention or spark controversy)
- lol at all of these shocked expressions at “you will performing the title according to your rank with A in the middle” “F will be the backup dancers” and “there will a an reevaluation soon” like none of this happened during season one and two
- I thought they'd put a Japanese/Korean dictionary in each dorm room or something (I doubt they can have their phones out with translator apps). You’d think they’d do something to accommodate them since they have a language barrier on top of all of this pressure. It was cute, though, when she was drawing the pictures of sleep and medicine to ask the other trainee
-Some Japanese trainees were like cheerleaders during their reevaluations haha At least they didn't give up.
- The girl from FNC might be the one to go down all the way to F with how they talked about her during reevaluation
