Yeah I really don't like saying negative things about girl groups but for a comeback stage this is really disappointing. Jennie especially often makes me so mad with how much nothing she brings to their performances when she's supposed to be the impact visual of the group - if she didn't have such a great piercing resting bitch face there wouldn't be much left. It's strange that they collectively don't seem to be feeling it much considering how little chances they already get to get out there.
Speaking of charisma I think it’s a big reason why Latata was a successful debut, (g) Idle’s stages made me want to watch repeatedly since they were quite captivating. Soyeon especially.
This is totally true. Honestly it's YG's freaking fault for picking looks over stage presence. They are so painfully bland, the only one I could see growing into her role is Jisoo.

i don't know if the black/pink concepts are still a thing but they suit their pink(ier) songs much better imo, even jennie who is good at serving face but then when it comes to actually delivering that persona while performing it falls short
I agree the energy isn't there, and they're not as clean as previously. I feel that Rose isn't hitting the moves properly in this stage, which hopefully Inkigayo can change my opinion of it.
Forever Young is my new favourite song and I really liked that performance, mostly because their outfit are super cute. Jisoo is a queen through and through.
Not even these visual queens can save that lacklustre song. And the choreo is not interesting to watch. And they don't seem into it either, that's sad. The girls deserve so much better than this uninspired mess.
Actually expected much livelier/harder (??) choreo for DDDD - surely the girls can pull it off - but eh. The song does grow on you after the 100th time on loop - pretty much how most YGE songs are like anyway.

But I also feel like BP would benefit from using back up dancers more often especially for a minimal choreo like this. 2NE1 always had back up dancers come in for key parts or to make the stage more engaging/lively yet BP stages are usually empty. Which makes their lack of energy even more obvious when they’re not at their best.
i'm loving forever young. it started cute but ended really hard. loving the styling, wearing matching outfits for once but everything looks good (except for rose's, i'm not feeling it).

Rose sounds bad, her voice just doesn’t do it for me, I much prefer Jennie’s tone and Jisoo and Lisa improved with their lives. And what exactly has BP been doing recently to be tired? I think the lack of energy comes from the insane diets these girls go through to maintain the same body type for the comeback, Jisoo looks even thinner. That just reminds me that 2NE1 owns them in therms of stage charisma, CL and Minzy alone could swallow the stages, but not exactly they had to go through extreme diets. On a positive note, Forever young is much better to watch and the matching outfits reminds me of Twice CU time, which is adorable, they look happier too.
I really hope they are in the right headspace mentally cause if people are on them about their weight within the company I doubt they are tactful about it. Though 2NE1 didn't have to deal with diets both CL & Minzy were constantly criticized about their looks but they did seem to be the more fuck what you say, members of the group, I swear YG is a toxic environment for female artists ( entertainment, in general, is too)

I finally listened to the title track, I love the beat and that drop so I wish an instrumental was included on the mini since it’s the only thing I’d listen to actively, since the vocals, lack of chorus, and lyrics overall don’t do much for me.

Their choreo is awful. Just a lot of hand waving Twice-style - except Twice doesn’t perform to club music! It doesn't make sense to have a hard drop and then stand and do nothing, a boy group would certainly utilize those last 15 sec or so. And we know they (or at least Lisa) can dance from their pre-debut videos! But what’s even worse, they had absolutely zero stage presence. Lisa was trying, but she can’t carry the other three girls. Jenny was the absolute worst, she looked bored and annoyed, barely moved and didn’t even bother at least to smile. Idk what happened since AIIYL, did they forget how to perform after a year spent in YG’s dungeon?
I’m disappointed, I was looking forward to their live stages since I love watching their performances (their pwf promos made me a stan) but both stages were extremely lackluster and had no energy at all even Lisa who usually hits the choreo hard wasn’t serving anything

I think they did really well with their AIIYL stages, this choreo is pretty lacklustre.. :/ There's a lot of walking? And just standing and posing. There are official fancams for these stages but I'm on my phone rn so I can't link them
