I thought the same thing. But, in the last Idol Room post, people were mentioning that MBC wanted to replace their staff (that they're being working with for years) with new MBC-exclusive staff or something. So, they probably left so everyone can continue to work together and keep their jobs.

I don't know how true that is. But, it helped me come around to the show a bit and how it's basically the same as the last show.

Basically, but I think they left and got a new show first, and then the staff came to work on the new show. I know that the PD (that's been with them for 7 years) said he joined after he heard they were leaving. I also read that MBC had basically made the PD a writer (or otherwise demoted him in some way). And I lot of the staff from Weekly Idol now works on Idol Room.

So, they were probably in talks for a new show and used their clout to help a lot of staff migrate over to the new show. If so, I think that's admirable :)

No wonder weekly idol feels so different. Even when they had guest MCs, it still felt like the same show, but now it’s just bland. I loved how the sound effects and editing made the show more fun but now it’s just so quiet. I watched shinee’s rpd and it wasn’t funny or fun to watch cause it i was just so quiet and boring without the original crew’s special effects backing the show

no wonder. their approach to idols are so different rn in WI. i like doni coni teasing idols to death lol
basically i feel like the new mcs and staff are too nice and it's boring. (and i have to watch it every week -___-')

yea there was a lot of talk about it. I think it boiled down to the staff were going to be let go and replaced with people the broadcasters wanted there more so the hosts decided to walk and VLive picked them up and the staff who were going to be let go anyway just moved over there and tweaked some of the formula.

There were cute parts that were not included in the 1hr video like the non-Korean members portion. Overall, it was fun! It must've been hard to have a 6member and 10member group in kne episode.

Now I'm super excited for this Saturdays episode with BTOB!
