which appears to show a depressed Minah spending her night reminiscing on her previous relationships (played by the other namyu members, who also seem to be reminicing about her) by looking through the gifts that she received from them or gave to her; in the morning Minah wakes up next to Sojin (who is apparently naked). It's also the only modern BB track that I've liked lmao
I have a lot of complicated feelings about some videos that make it to the 'lgbt' kpop lists; a lot of the time I'm like, wow that's really tenuous, I feel like there's only really one second of this mv that's throwaway gaybait so that the entire mv can be viewed as ~secretly pro-lgbt~ etc. Or it's like, the song explicitly talks about boys but the mv very vaguely hints at a girl/girl love story. But also I'm aware that especially with some of these older music videos, they're released in a time and place where all you could get away with was a passing moment, or the censors would catch you or you'd receive ridiculous amounts of hate. Even then, there is nowhere in the world you can release a music video with lgbt protagonists/hints without someone going 'urgh why does it have to be about ~the gays~'.
Basically I'm happy that there are these references/scenes that put an lgbt spin on these music videos, and I sure as hell don't want to shit on any country's progress and clever attempts to bypass censors in order to promote equality. I'm just a very tired bi who gets a little jaded sometimes. I guess it's kind of complicated, I don't really talk about this a lot, idk if I'm explaining myself right.
Anyway I still follow Choi Hanbit from Mercury (https://www.instagram.com/BADAHB87/) on instagram and she's so cute! Sometimes the members crop up too since they're all from the same dance academy and work together sometimes. In recent years I've realised how important it is to my being comfortable with my identity to see adult lgbt folks living their lives and existing so I enjoy being able to incorporate a korean celeb into that!

'Help' is more about hardship one may face in life (including the reaction to being homosexual)
If any of these make you uncomfortable I'll just delete them

I'm not telling you to remove the videos - everyone has their own standard for what representation they respond to and what degree so I would never want to step on another lgbt person's toes like that - I just kind of wanted to see if anyone else felt the same way or if I'm just stupidly picky. I kind of regret commenting to be honest I get very anxious about this kind of thing. Sorry if I'm overexplaining myself and only making my comments more confusing

At first I had these under 'honorable mention' but since I'm not LGBT+ I have no place to decide what's and what's not 'enough'. I've seen many people include these in their playlist which is why I didn't differentiate them from the other songs

I find myself getting really annoyed by the reaallly queerbaity things like you mentioned I cannot stand Supernatural, I refuse to watch that show it just gets me so annoyed. Personally I am pretty desperate for any kind of lesbian/bi representation in Kpop (After School, Red Velvet, etc) But at the same time it also really bothers me especially with Kpop if it's blatant bait because it gets slammed with criticism for both being baity and also for being LGBT in general. Hell even then just reading a book about feminism will get you slammed like with Irene. So I usually reserve my annoyance to western media where it's more likely to be present, and kind of just deal with what I can get in Korean media.
If that makes any sense, I get what you mean though and I can see what you mean by hard to explain, I can't even figure out how to explain myself lmao

Even though the description on yt is a bit meh, Heartattack still is my n.1 "gay" kpop video. There are som many "gay" moments in Loona TV clips too, wich makes it even better.
Doea anyone have more info on Maman btw?

She debuted with Girl In Flight
At first she didn't show her face because she wanted people to judge her on her voice

do any of you have any favorite songs in k-pop where some of the lyrics, rather than the music video or concept itself, either directly or subtly imply lgbt+ inclusion that get overshadowed? either because most tend to overlook reading into lyrics or it's just... super subtle? instances like that always intrigue me.
jjong's 2:34 is one of my favorite examples of that. "it’s my first time asking a guy to stay, don’t go home yet". he wrote gender neutral and tongue-in-cheek lyrics often before that point (like exo's playboy) but i always found it interesting because it was in line with him starting to openly gush over male celebrities he found attractive on blue night. either way, it's a great song that doesn't get enough recognition.

One of them might have been Binu (though do not quote me on that) because she got a lot of shit back in the day with accusations that she was only trans so she could "get out of military service."
