BOF Actor Kim Joon Reveals He Has Being Married For 3 Years And Has a Daughter

His character on Boys over flowers never got even a loveline, in real life he was the first to get married and start a family ... kinda late but congrats to him and his wife!


On June 7, it was belatedly reported that the actor wed his then-girlfriend in 2015. They started dating even before he debuted in the industry, after knowing each other for many years. His wife is a non-celebrity.

In a phone interview with media outlet Ilgan Sports, Kim Joon confirmed, “I got married three years ago. As there were no articles about my marriage until now, a lot of people will probably not know that I got married aside from the people close to me. I married and started a family with my my now-wife, who I had been dating for nine years. Now, I am also a father to my child.”

Kim Joon first debuted as a singer in 2007 as a member of T-max, before his breakout role as Song Woo Bin in KBS2’s 2009 drama “Boys Over Flowers.” He appeared in several dramas after that, including KBS2’s “Detectives in Trouble,” SBS’s “Endless Love,” and MBC Dramanet’s “City of the Sun.”

Presently, he is more active in the theatre world, and recently starred in the play “Yeodo” earlier this year.

Kim Joon also shared some of his future plans, saying, “I debuted in the theater world by chance when an opportunity to act in a genre I had been wanting to try presented itself. I will continue to take on different productions.”

Congrats to Mafia Man! (BOF was my first drama and I could not ever remember names, so my friends and I called them Curly Haired Guy, Music Man, Pottery Dude, and Mafia Man lol) Woo Bin deserved an actual storyline, I can’t believe there were so many episodes and he got nothing. Glad he’s getting some theatre work, I was wondering if he was still acting.
