Real talk this sounds like a WG reject and I'm betting money this was probs a comeback reject right before they went with the band concept so JYP pushed the retro on them as a band also
I've been towing the line of apprehensive and excited about this. Mainly because I wanted a rap solo debut for Yubin, but I also love City-Pop/Future-Funk music.
But...
It's now clear that she's spent a good chunk of time doing some vocal training. She's sounding just as good as her peers, and this chorus is infectious! I hope it does well for her.

Yeah same, as much as I love WG and enjoy everyone's singing as a group only Yeeun/Sunmi are solo vocalist material (and not even Sunmi is that good but she gets away with it with good songs + performances)
didn’t yubin herself say that this is what she was interested in and wanted to do? unless jyp held a gun to her head she probably meant what she said, and i don’t think it’s fair to imply that this was a reboot reject that jyp ”forced” upon her
I was surprised she didn't release anything after Unpretty Rapstar ended. Everyone expected her to rap for her solo album and all she got from JYP is a single with a song sounding like a WG reject from 2008/9 ): I don't see this song charting well..
