On May 25 broadcast of MBC variety show ‘I Live Alone,’ actress/singer Dasom appeared and revealed her ‘single life.’

In the broadcast, Dasom climbed Bukhan Mountains and kept eating snacks on her way up. Furthermore, she ordered and ate pizza when she reached the top of the mountain. While watching the VCR, MC Jun Hyun-Moo asked for her secret to dieting.

Dasom said, “I like to procrastinate if I need to go on a diet. I’ve tried dieting for a month or even 3-weeks, but I always ended up eating on the last day and ruining the whole thing. So, I’ve decided to do short-term diets instead of long-term ones. For example, I start 5 days before and consume maybe about 200 calories a day. It’s like drinking a cup of honey tea, and it’s become my one of my own routines.”

drinking...a cup...of honey tea...

i always wonder if these diets include water. they must allow for it, but then you remember momo feeling guilty for eating an ice cube, which is literally water, and it just makes you mad again.

these diets are going to kill idols one of these days, and literally nothing is going to change. they're going to blame it on the work ethic or health of the idol, say it was an accident, and move straight on to forcing other idols to exist on water diets whilst working out for 5 hours a day.

I'd pass out on the first day.

People really need to stop calling starving yourself a 'diet'.

I wish that they would stop asking female idols their dieting 'tips'/routines. Answers are often depressing.

sorry, but can we please avoid putting specific calorie/weight numbers and details about these disordered eating habits in the title? it could be triggering and it's impossible to avoid like that

I only have one McD's Fish fillet every meal instead of 2 and I cut my diet cokes down from 12 to 9 when. And 1 Supersize fry and 1 medium fry instead of 2 supersize fries.

Im really curious, are some idols really this dumb to answer these kind of questions knowing people look up to them and will do the shit they're doing,or are they just clueless? Like seriously asking.

tbh it seems like these kinds of comments are praised and that's why they keep making them.
it feels very rare that these types of comments are met with "wow, that's awful and messed up" and instead get more of an attitude like "wow you really have such strong discipline to be able to diet like that! such dedication! amazing! so strong!"

Yea, over the years the main - and sad - impression I got from these terrible dieting advice tips is the culture actually rewards them, they view this as hard work and practicing restraint and these are traits that should be praised. I've seen too many people on these dumb variety shows applaud these idols for starving themselves and it's disgusting.

exactly :( that it's not so much about the weightloss per se but more about how hardworking you are for having done that? it's a terribly harmful way to view it...

I love how she goes hiking for a hobby, it's also a good way to stay fit.

But the diet, no, please don't. And eating on the last day of the diet does not mean it's a failure, and what does she mean by eating exactly?? Hopefully she just means junkfood or something.

Also, does honey tea have 200 calories? That's a lot for a tea with some honey in it. o_o

Edit: I just watched her segment. She eats crap like 80% of the time. I know it's all edited for the show, so I can only assume that's the usual for her. No wonder she keeps starving herself, she does not care about proper nutrition.

Yea majority of people don't care about proper nutrition, it's really sad. :/ that's why the whole thin = fit and healthy idea is fucking hilarious to me since in many cases that isn't the truth.

I agree, you can be unhealthy at any body type.

I'm always amazed, how most idols still can function with packed schedules, lack of sleep and nutrition and stress from pressure in general.

I seriously have no idea how idols keep up with their crazy schedules when they literally eat nothing.

Not sure if allowed but I've battled disordered eating for a long time and if I had to function on such a HUGE deficit I would have collapsed within the first week.

i experience this as well - i've been battling an eating disorder for many years now, i used to eat so little i lost more than a kilo a month, i don't do that anymore right now simple because i can't?! it's really weird, but i just /can't/ eat with a huge deficit anymore (unless i'm really ill with the flu or so, but that's a small side note)
i mean, it's getting better - or rather, i'm more aware of it - but it's still hard, but i guess it's a good thing i can't anymore with a huge deficit lol

You can easily make a keto pizza or even a regular healthy veggie and meat pizza for 200 calories. Why do people do this to themselves. At this point I think it's laziness.

Fuck you mean a glass of honey water. Why is she eating mosquito food for a diet. As a foodie I feel personally attacked.
