Happy Friday! Every week I check out the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. Let’s see what was on top for the 4th week of May, 2008. The top three have already been posted before, so we’ll see some live stages. And the honorable mentions have a theme too…remember back in the days when some music videos were like 10 minutes long and full on mini K-dramas?


#3 SG Wannabe “La La La”
I swear I always hear this song in a drama or variety whenever the characters go the countryside or whatever lol. And even on the stage, with the wind mills in the background…so county (says this city girl the fuck I know)! Anyways, Google tells me that they will be touring the UK later this year.

#2 MC Mong “Circus”
I think that this may be the era that I remember the most, but I only really remember the live stages.

#1 Epik High “One”
I think that I like this live version more than the original song. I could bop to this more.

#4 Kim Jong Wook “Only You”
Not to be confused with Kim Jong Kook. I wish this had subtitles! What’s that document she was reading at the end? And also (spoiler alert), did she dump the new guy for the old one? Cause that’s kind of messed up, the new guy seemed nice. This video features former SG Wannabe member Chae Dong Ha, and actress Cho Yeo Jeong. And I think that the tall guy is Lee Sang Yoon, it looks like him. This song later became the theme song for “We Got Married”.

#7 Monday Kiz featuring Rhymer “Shout With Your Heart”
Oh my gosh this video is so good! Does anyone know if there’s a part 2 to this video? Because this ending is such a cliffhanger. This totally could be stretched out into a full 18 episode drama. This MV stars actors Jin Goo and Seo Young Hee.
