I have high hopes - it’s a new ceo who’s coming right on the tails of the mess of a last ceo who drove cube into the ground essentially. He’s practically been given a gold mine with how well g idle is doing considering it’s the first group produced while he was ceo - he needs them to do well to gain the trust and favor of people in the company honestly.

He's been doing well since he took over end of 2016 =) There's an article here in Omona (https://omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/22195624.html) that shares a bit of what has changed in CUBE since he took over. As a fan of CUBE groups/artists, I'm happy with how things are going. Plus papa Hong (Hong Seung Sung who everybody loves) is still involved in artist management and production.

I don't really blame you, but a lot of it comes down to timing a bit more than luck. clc debuted at a t e r r i b l e time considering the girl group competition in 2015 was compromised of debuts/first major popularity spikes for the super rookies, on top of monster CBs from multiple veteran GGs. they just didn't have the money and promotion and interest behind them required to compete meaningfully and suffered for the old ceos bad decision.

the unfortunate part that needs to change tho is the issue of a new group debut generally garnering more public attention than a CB from an underappreciated existing group. we can hope tho that cube's success w newer groups will encourage them to promote clc hard to get them the attention they deserve to share.
