Teaser for SHINee's Upcoming Reality Show "SHINee's BACK"!!!!!

SHINee is launching a reality program with their upcoming comeback! On May 23, a teaser was released for the group’s reality show “SHINee’s BACK.”

With the signature line from their track “Sherlock” playing as the background music, the clip gives a glimpse at the playfulness of the members behind-the-scenes.

Each episode of “SHINee’s BACK” will be built off the title of a different SHINee hit track. The program will showcase the process of the group preparing for their comeback, share unheard stories, and reveal new sides of the members. “SHINee’s BACK” will be unveiled through Mnet’s digital channel M2 on Wednesdays and Fridays and then also be broadcast through television on Mnet each following Monday. The show will begin on June 6 at 9 p.m. KST.

too little, too late on sm's part. all it's doing is making fandom worse too. i've never seen a fandom as fucked up as shinee's is right now. it's sad as hell

it depends on what part of fandom you're looking at. from what i can tell their j-fandom is fine (because they mostly keep to themselves but):

k-fandom: after onew's scandal last august there was a rise in antis against him (and also people who decided not to be his fan anymore which is a personal decision and no one in fandom faults them for that). the antis got worse after sm put out that season's greetings in november with him featured in it, and then even WORSE after he released his apology letter. basically, at this point, k-fandom is split into four parts: solo stans, akgaes, 5hinee's, and ot4's. the ot4's are supportive of jkmt but not onew, and often kind of cross over into the same mix with antis and akgaes. they edit him out of pictures, don't include him in fan merch, etc. then there's antis who have been harassing sm about wanting him out of the group for months, most having an agenda that blames him for what ended up happening for jonghyun, accuses him of using what happened as a shield for him coming back into the industry, or who want him to (tw) "be the next to off himself. then jonghyun's fans have mostly disappeared from fandom and there's a lot of taemin solo stans who want him to leave the group to go solo.

i-fandom: there's been a big struggle between fans for months now, re: the grieving process and policing of how people feel. by the end of january a lot of shawols (specifically blingers) who were still grieving and not ready for stuff like the dome concerts were starting to get called out for being "too sad". it kept on getting worse and worse and, by the time that smtown dubai happened last month, a lot of them had left fandom or moved to places where they won't get easily criticized. most are afraid to say how they feel. it kind of spiraled out of control in the last week because there's a lot of conflicted emotions on the comeback. people who aren't ready for it or have decided to not actively follow promotions due to their mental health have gotten accused of not being supportive, people are being told they're being "too sad" again with heavy implication that their sadness is ruining the comeback buzz. then there's messes on the side like a lot of people in fandom are beginning to treat jonghyun like a taboo topic and saying shit like "it isn't about him anymore" when he's obviously always going to be a part of the group and okmt stressed that themselves (multiple times) in february. blah blah blegh. there's other stuff too obviously like a lot of people are really frustrated because sm hasn't mentioned jonghyun or shinee ever being five once within the midst of comeback / anniversary teasing, and people are really afraid he isn't going to get properly included and honored.

Oh noes, its really sad to hear this. SHINee's fandom has always been known as one of the nicest and the most mature but to hear this is just very disappointing. Mostly everyone seemed to bring out their worst following the tragedy. I mean, if they actually think what Jjong would want, all this stuffs wouldnt happen in the first place. :(

I hope this is just a storm and hopefully it will be calm after a while. But the boys seemed to be unaffected (hopefully) so I hope i stays the same. I just want them to be happy and I wish other fans will step back and think the same too.

tbh ... what sucks is that i do think okmt are aware. kibum will always make these posts on instagram right in the middle of big blow up's in k-fandom that are waaaaaay too properly timed. (the last was a few days ago when k-fandom was boycotting the release of a dvd for the domes.) onew also knows probably because there's a rumor that him not being present at the shilla event in november is because antis were calling sm and they caved.

i feel my blood pressure rise when i think about the very very real prospect that jonghyun's name won't be uttered once during these promotions, that his existence and contributions to this group will continue to be taboo, and therefore unacknowledged. after dubai, there was no hope he would be honored the way he deserves.

anyway, well, i started with shinee since debut, so i suppose it's only fitting to end it here, with their 10th year anniversary.

honestly, that's my biggest fear: him being omitted from everything. i don't expect okmt to talk about what happened. i'd never expect that - they should only do that when and if they're ready to. but i don't want jonghyun to be treated like he left the group, nor like he wasn't a vital part of it. i also don't want him to be turned into a taboo topic / the elephant in the room. i'd rather people share comfortable and happier stories about him and help that become normalized so he can more often be brought into conversation than not. regardless, it's jonghyun's anniversary too and he deserves to be included.

yes, ia with everything you said. if sun and the comeback are going to being framed as part of their anniversary, then jjong must be included. and wouldn't that be wonderful if jjong's life could be celebrated and not avoided? perhaps with time, but i am not optimistic.

i was just awake in my bed, feeling incredibly down, tearing up a bit, but i just started playing the audio from the inspired concerts and i'm already feeling better. man, jjong is magic. it is bringing on some really good memories (i don't want to feed the sm machine anymore than i have already, but what i wouldn't give for an x-inspiration or inspired blu-ray).

i'm just... hoping for the best despite the little hope that i have at this point. i do trust okmt and they were vocal about how they'll always be five, and how they don't want anyone to forget jonghyun. so ... i trust them. but it's still so hard, lol

i pretty much gave up all hope when we got taem's budokan within a couple months of the concerts.

but then there we were with multiple agits and x-inspiration and nothing, but a thin book to show for it.

putting my clear bitterness aside, i really wonder what's going on with that? why won't they release anything? hmpf.

i've seen a theory that inspired was initially planned for a dvd release because there's such high quality clips of it in the before our spring mv. but either the release has been cancelled or postponed. i could maybe see it being released in the future but i'd be shocked if it was before next year, if even next year.
