The newest artist to set up a project on makestar is girl group HINT! HINT debuted in 2017 under Star Pro Entertainment with 'Tang Tang Tang', a trot-infused number, and made a comeback this January with 'Walkie Talkie' and a more pop sound. The group consists of Ara, Star, Hyejin (formerly of Turan), Hesol, Cherry, Na-L and Salt, and they've joined with makestar to fund a new single album for their third comeback.

D.I.P are looking for you to fund their single album, and are also looking for your suggestions around how to eventually celebrate achieving 100%! D.I.P debuted in November 2016 with Fizz after a lengthy pre-debut selection process wherein Haeun Entertainment initially planned two boy groups and eventually condensed them into one. They returned in September 2017 with 'A Likely Night'. So far they've preferred a dark image, with a pop sound slightly influenced by hip hop and EDM. The group consists of Hyeongseong ('88), Seungho ('91), Soomin ('93), B.Nish ('95), Uhyeong ('96), Taeha, and Z.One.

Chloris are a four-member girl group under FAB Entertainment, and FAB are really hoping you'll fund their single album, because they apparently didn't have the money for a music video or even proper promotions for Friday Night, which is a shame as it's a nice little pop number with retro infusions. The group consists of main vocal Liwon, Seonwoo, Dina (formerly of Pitapat), and maknae/rapper Mijin.

Next Level Entertainment's girl group GIRLKIND had been promoting as something akin to a dance group until their official debut was finally announced for January this year with 'Fanci'. Between the funky, almost laid back sound of Fanci and the hard-hitting sound but humorous image of 'Broccoli (Mixtape)', their sound is diverse, but their strong image with a focus on rap and dance is consistent. They too are hoping to fund a single album. The group consists of Medic Jin ('96), JK ('98), Xeheun ('99, former PD101 contestant), Sun J ('01), and Ellyn ('02).

VOISPER (Voice + Whisper = Voisper!) are a vocals-focused group that debuted in 2016 with 'In Your Voice' under Evermore Music. Their music naturally skews towards ballads, upbeat (In Your Voice, Crush On You, Save As, Missing You) or mellow (Summer Cold, Learn To Love, Days Gone By). The four-man group consists of Kwangho ('96), Kansan ('96), Daekwang ('96) and Chungki ('96), and they're hoping to fund an album with makestar.

DJ Aster is an up-and-coming DJ in Seoul. You can listen to his soundcloud here. He's not the first DJ to try and fund a project with makestar, however, with his funding sitting at 37.8% with 3 days remaining, it's unlikely the project will be successful, even with an extension.

4TEN (also known as POTEN) debuted in 2014 with the song 'Tornado', and have had a few member changes since. The group currently has three members: Hyeji ('92), Heeo ('94), and Hyejin ('96). They've had a pretty consistent sexy girl crush image since debut, and a powerful pop sound. Their last comeback was in 2016 with 'Severely' and their first mini album, 'Jack of All Trades'. They're hoping to make a comeback this year with a single album.

After debuting in November 2017 with Hero, BYKING's boy group BLK will comeback with a single album! Formerly known as ACEMAX-BLACK and under Checkmat Ent, the boys and their old lineup were promoted as a pair with girl group ACEMAX-RED in China and Japan. The group promoted their debut with six members: Taebin ('93), Sorim ('94), Ilkyung ('95), Inho ('96), D.A ('96, formerly AO of LC9), I ('96). Maknae MingMing ('97, formerly of Seventeen Project) was on hiatus for their debut to promote on MixNine, and has since rejoined the group after just missing the debut lineup by placing #10. DJ Henney/Pyo Eunji is a former model (and actress, apparently) who now wants to try her hand at DJ-ing. There's not a lot I can find about her in English, except for some Rotta photoshoots and expected references to a lolita controversy. Anyway, her project is more than funded, so congrats Henney!

MYTEEN are the first group from The Music Works and debuted in 2017 with 'Amazing', an upbeat song with funky slap bass and impressive choreography. After holding a debut showcase overseas, they've teamed with makestar to hold a fanmeeting in Seoul. Congratulations to fans in Seoul for fully funding the project, which was no small feat with a goal of $10,511!

Favorite debuted late last year with 'Party Time', and after a brief hiatus so that three members could compete on Mix Nine, they have already begun their comeback associated with this makestar project. Check out their new single, 'Where Are You From?', and follow their promotions! There's still 7 days left on the project if you want a signed CD or any other merchandise offered.
Despite A.De's album project being fully funded by it's deadline back in July last year, makestar and 2able have finally decided to pull the plug on the project after too many delays on the album, and refund all the backers. There has been no statement on the future of A.De, but a statement from 2able apologising for the cancellation was emailed to all the project's backers.
BIGSTAR's album was fully funded in October 2017, but Brave Entertainment and makestar have decided to cancel the project and refund all the backers. Raehwan and Baram enlisted in the army in February earlier this year, and Feeldog will be promoting with UNB for a large part of the next two years.
Other outstanding, fully-funded makestar campaigns include:
Limesoda - Album Project (completed 30th November)
Apple.B - Album Project (completed 28th December - their dorm notably burned down around this time)

Date: 2018-05-17 07:36 pm (UTC)The issue with the last time was they made it seem like we were funding the entirety of Happy Box (3 singles) and then were like "HAHA j/k its just the first single so that's all you get!".
At this point I wish it had failed. Makestar should implement time requirements for the label for them to either provide the rewards or at least provide UPDATES or they refund everyone.

Date: 2018-05-17 07:50 pm (UTC)I wish they'd do the same - it would be nice to know for example with Apple.B's case, are they set up in their new dorms? Have they gone back to practising? What's up? - at the same time I think if they dropped agencies for not updating, they'd have to cancel a surprising amount of campaigns and that'd probably be bad for the website. It would be good if they just stopped working with those companies after the first time, at least.
