awe.. turtle squad unite!! 🐢🐢 it was a wonderful expierence and i'd do it over again in a heartbeat.

we couldnt believe how close we were either. the seating chart did no justice and that larger screen was basically right above us so it was great viewing.

Like, I know I’ve bitched about Taehyung a lot these past couple of months; “he can’t dress himself” “he doesn’t know how to spend money” “some of his hobbies are so frivolous and pretentious”. But then I see clips from Burn The Stage of him crying from his fight with Seokjin and him curled up with a pillow. Now I...kinda feel like a dick, like how can I be so mean to this lil’ sunflower he’s just trying his best 😔.

It’s the Allstate arena and they only use one half of it. Hopefully they come to the United Center in Chicago because it’s bigger so they’ll probably have a bigger stage.

Yeah I feel like he's not allowed to talk about it in great deal which is a shame cuz we are suppose to see a different side of them but at the same time I doubt bighit would allow him to speak about it. Anyways I know I can be kinda harsh on RM a lot but I don't want him to feel like that. I'm really trying to be more careful with my words cuz I know it does hurt him. I remember watching something else where he said it really affects him when people say they don't like him or hate. I understand sometimes that people can be really harsh on the internet it makes sense he wouldn't want to go on there after that and feel anxiety about it.

I felt really bad for him...he seems very aware of what's going around about him online and he does get a lot of shit. Warranted or not, I can see how that would be hard for him, especially since he seems like someone who is well-intentioned overall and wants to be a good person.

Yeah it's not easy being judged by so many people's wrong or right. But he's defiantly changed a lot since debut so I try to believe the best him even though I may criticize him sometimes.

So I’ve been noticing a theme, RM, Suga and JK seem the most honest in these while Jin, Jimin, J-Hope and V still seem to be seeking validation in their confessional interviews and are more superficial in their concerns. I find this very interesting. It’s like they are still afraid of opening up.

I enjoyed watching their dynamics during their time off. The fashion addicts go shopping, Suga is off alone and the rest are sightseeing. It’s really interesting to watch that aspect.

Yeah I'm surprised at how opened Jungkook is being. I feel like we usually only get that from Suga and RM.

For Taehyung, we know he was going through a rough time and that it was something not even the members knew about, so I think for him these interviews don't even scrape the surface of what he feels, I'll be curious to see if his attitude changes after the trip to Hawaii.
But it's still very early in the series tbh, they're going to be followed for 300 days and we're only at ~40 days into the tour, so hopefully they get more used to the camera/the interviews in the future episodes.

seeing him tear up in the first ep when asked about what he would want to tell his future self rlly fucked me up... it also reminded me of how much he's gone through that we haven't seen

true, RM , Suga and JK are definitely the most open in those solo interview things.
but I feel like we got some raw honesty from J-Hope (the thing about leaving), Jin (joking even when he feels bad) and Jimin (all those scenes of him breaking down cause of his performance) as well, just not as much direct reflection.

Taehyung, yeah, not really anything new. He didn't even say much when he was fighting with Jin.

I feel like I'm torn with how I feel about the show. I still feel like I'm not seeing as much as I thought I would when they said they'd show a different side of them. I still enjoy the show though and I really like the interview parts. It's interesting to see how stressed out they were about the stage. I remember watching this on tv, I can tell RM was stressed with translating cuz I remember Jimin wanted him to translate something for him in more detail and he just straight up refused lol. But it's interesting too see how they deal with certain situations.

I've really loved the last two eps of this, I know it's not as deep as some other band docs and such, but it's still interesting to see a bit more than what we usually get.

Namjoon has often talked about the end of 2015/start of 2016 as being a super rough time for him (he wrote 'always' at that time too) so sometimes i get curious about what made him feel that way and also how he got better.

I felt so sorry for them about the JBTV show thingy, they were really distressed about going up to perform on a tiny stage, especially because they thought it would air on TV, in the end it wasn't something big, their PR team really were a bunch of amateurs who didn't know what to do with them huh...

I love that they talked about how much they've changed since their debut, like Yoongi initially wanted to be a producer but now enjoy the stage, Jungkook being so obsessed with dancing he didn't want to sing (lmao), Hoseok becoming a rapper and Jin's growth in all areas, etc.

Also, we're onto episode 5 and we're about 40 days into the tour, even though the summary says the series will follow them during 300 days... does this mean there are multiple seasons? honestly it makes sense, like I didn't understand what Youtube was gaining from offering 2 months long free trials to ARMYs, but chances are now ARMY will have to pay for YT Red if they wanna watch the second season lmao.

I don't think it's that well known (though I'm neither American nor from Chicago lol) but I remember their PR team hyped it as a 'secret tv show' and in the end it was something no one had ever heard of lmao (everyone had guessed ellen at the time iirc), maybe it was famous in the past but it's really not a thing suited for a K-pop group since their thing looks more rock bands orientated, idk.

Well, if we're around 40 days on episode 5, then i guess we'll be ~80 days in by the end of the season? So maybe we'll get 3 seasons?? IDK i'm speculating again and whenever I speculate, none of it ever comes true.

Lol I’m from Chicago and let me just say I have never heard of jbtv until Bangtan went on it. I remember that week they were here it was wet and cold af. I can’t beileve Tae went out and about just wearing that light sweater. I thought they were going to show more footage of the concert but I guess not 😭
