Every week I check out the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we’ll be checking out what was on top for the 4th week of March, 2009. All of these songs we posted in past posts, so this time we’ll see some stage performances. I hope you’re in the mood for some strong vocals and some fun bops to start the weekend off, Omona!


#3 8eight “Without A Heart”
My forever favorite 8eight song! Such a great song, and that chorus gets me every damn time. They all sound so good (not a surprise, it’s 8eight lol). I always think of the MV first (because Sohee freaks me out wtf), so it’s nice to see some live stages after so long. I love this song so much, it makes me want to rip my heart out.

#2 Davichi “8282”
9 years later and I still get giddy when the beat drops lol! That chorus still makes me want to throw my hands up in the air and scream along with them. Definitely one of my favorites from the duo, it’s so much fun!

#1 Super Junior “Sorry Sorry”
Even though it isn’t my favorite Super Junior song, it’s probably the one I think of first. This song and this choreography were everywhere! Omg it was so damn popular, and I still think it holds up pretty well even now.

#6 Wheesung “Insomnia”
I only found a few live stages of the song, so I don’t think he promoted it on the music shows that much. But I still remember this Craig David cover was REALLY popular. I only remember because I wasn’t a fan of the original song and was annoyed that this version was everywhere too wtf lol.

#7 Son Dam Bi “Saturday Night”
It’s funny…I thought I didn’t remember the live performances of this song at all, but I watched one video and all of this choreography came rushing back to me. So weird, I remember it all now! This isn’t my fav song from her, but I guess somehow this song and era wormed it way deep into my brain lol.

these throwbacks are making me realize how LIVE the live performances were back then. You can clearly see that they are singing and hear their actual voice. I guess I forgot there was a distinction now since a lot of lives I've been watching are heavy on the MRI.
