New tracks by CLC, BTOB’s Ilhoon, Samuel, and more have been deemed unfit for broadcast by KBS

According to the results of KBS’s review released on March 21, Ilhoon’s tracks “Let’s Talk” and “Fancy Shoes” off of his first solo mini album “Big Wave” were deemed inappropriate for broadcast.

Ilhoon participated in composing and writing the lyrics for both songs. KBS cited the suggestive lyrics of “Let’s Talk” and the mention of specific brand names in both “Let’s Talk” and “Fancy Shoes” as reasons for not allowing the songs on air.

“SOS” from Samuel’s upcoming second mini album “One” was also deemed unfit for broadcast due to the mention of a specific product brand.

CLC’s b-side track “Like That” off of the album “Black Dress” was deemed unfit for broadcast due to its lyrical depiction of a relationship between a man and a woman.

14 other songs including Nam Tae Hyun‘s “I.D.S.” and Bubble X’s “Follow” were also named in KBS’s latest list of songs unfit for broadcast.

I was about to call bullshit on the Like That lyrics being so bad, because Black Dress was way less sexy than everyone expected... but then I looked at the lyrics and smh at Cube being so eager to give CLC super super sexual lyrics the literal MINUTE Eunbin turned 18 lol hell, it was probably recorded when she was still a minor. "Even if the red light comes on, don't stop, when your fingers get braver I'll pretend I don't know" that sure doesn't sound like consent to me, Cube lmao.

Then again they were giving them "I wish a magic spell could turn me 18 so we could be together" back in Pepe era so... why am I even surprised? I love that THAT was allowed on broadcast but this is banned, tho lol.

Cube markets them to the lowest common denominator for real. lmaoooo it's honestly funny because what turned me into a full time kpop fan for awhile circa 2009-2011 was the pervy shit in jpop getting to be too overpowering, but currently? I've been listening to jpop again more and more because a lot of jpop girl groups are doing bad ass concepts with awesome, empowering lyrics due to a recent increase in the number of female fans lol. Kpop is kind of doing the opposite and has been for a solid five years.



I want some girl power shit in kpop again but there's just nothing like that rn and it's only getting worse =( and ifans are either accidentally oblivious to it or purposely ignoring it and get pissed when you point it out.

yep, while groups like Dreamcatcher- and others who make badass concepts keep failing due to people prefering the cute-innocent style that most perverted men enjoy, kpop will continue being like this and get worse even.

It's sad tbh, this is why I can't get into most kpop groups besides the music- these same concepts and companies pandering to perverts all the time just nope :(
