Spring has arrived in Korea! "Cherry Blossom Ending" season is here

Busker Busker’s song “Cherry Blossom Ending,” which details a spring romance, entered Melon music chart at the 87th spot on the evening of March 16.

The song has made an annual return to music charts around spring since the group released it back in March of 2012. This makes it the sixth time that the song has entered music charts to signal the coming of spring.

Other spring related songs like IU’s “Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms,” Eric Nam and Red Velvet’s collaboration “Spring Love,” and Roy Kim‘s “Bom Bom Bom” also tend to enter music charts around this time as well. Meanwhile, BIGBANG’s new song “Flower Road,” released on the 13th continues to top music charts.

Busker Busker, set for life.

lmao poor high4, not even mentioned for their own song.
I wonder if they get royalties for that song. If they don't that suuuuuuuuuuuucks. disbanded and no earnings from their big hit.

i still love this song, as well as yeosu night sea and first love from their 1st album

What is Brad up to? Is he still in Korea?

I could never get into this song. I mean it's nice, but I don't know the lyrics, so to me it just seems like another coffee shop song.

He was at PyeongChang according to his instagram. (goodandbrad)

Thank you! That's interesting. I thought he would've gone back to the States after that interview he gave to Vice. I know he was doing some drum project, and from scanning his insta it doesn't look like he went back to teaching, so he must still be in the industry.

Really liked their first album, and I remember the one time they did an encore after their song won on a music show was hilariously awkward haha. I don't remember their other albums at all though.

I get updated with Brad now and then, but is the main vocal still doing solo stuff + whatever happened to the bassist?

Is he out from the army? Iirc he got a young actress preggers, and there was something about that and going to or postponing army...

Google-->soompi tells me he enlisted last year so not out yet probably?? And he/the actress got married and had the kid at some point beforehand hmm

I know he did some solo work that people liked, but it wasn't a hit, probably cause people don't know who he is by name, but they probably would've streamed if it had been a Busker Busker release.

Yeah idk what the reason behind their "hiatus" is but if it's for him to go solo then not much point since it's the same style as the band's songs and he wrote all their music anyways so would had been off as a Busker Busker song ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm just gonna assume Brad and bassist aren't interested anymore

I used to watch a lot of ASC, so I became interested in Brad, and when I looked him up, I read fans say that the group members fought a lot, and that the bassist left to do something else. Like, Busker Busker was never initially intended to become an actual band. they applied to that music show on a lark and then happened to do well, so its not surprising that things fell through. Dunno why Brad and the main guy decided to not continue the band together, since Brad seems to still be in the industry, and I also don't know why the main guy didn't just restructure the band to be a one-man project; it would have made better business sense to keep the name.
