I've been one week back in the US after two years in Korea. The first couple of days were the hardest. I was pretty homesick for Korea and couldn't bring myself to unpack. I didn't help that I'm in my step-mom's house. The room I'm sleeping in isn't really my space, so I asked to rearrange the furniture and I'm weeding through all the stuff that I left there while in Korea. I feel a bit better.

I'm also looking for a job. I want to work in museums and there are plenty in the area, but I don't have a masters degree though I've done a bit of volunteer work. Maybe I should go back to volunteering while I submit resumes.

Volunteering - especially if it's not full-time and give you time to look for a job - is a really good idea and will probably help a lot with feeling homesick! Good luck with your job search <3

it's hard to transition but hang in there! And volunteering sounds like a great way to ground yourself. And museums may at least have basic openings, like the cafe or entrance fees, that could you an intro...

Hi all! I'm training for a race and want more variety on my playlist. Anybody got some kpop recs? Fast tempo, somewhat singable chorus.

I tend to lean boygroups in kpop, because high registery girly is not my jam, but I will take hot girl songs too. I got some good BTS and Monsta X songs, so I think I'm set on them plus Got7 and EXO.

#TGIF i know i don't comment on omona often, have been mostly lurking....

i got rejected from a writing workshop that i really wanted to go to. i've been in bed, watching 2d1n to distract myself from intrusive thoughts. rejection sucks :(

if anyone has advice on how to handle rejection better, please share & thank you. in the meantime, i'm going to look up more cat gifs on twitter

I was at my grocery store last night, trying to look for hairstyle magazine (thinking about what cut and color I want) and I saw this....



I was not expecting this. It was right between tiger beat and a monster high coloring book. I'd expect BTS to be on Billboard magazine, not a teen quiz magazine. It's just surreal to see an Asian idol group surrounded by a bunch of white teen stars who I have no clue are.

this week was stressful so i'm looking forward to people staying out of my email inbox for 2 days :/ got a new car after 12 years. It's like being in a spaceship there's too many buttons and I'm going to be paying it off for basically ever but at least I'm no longer at risk of blowing up while driving it (cuz that was legit where my old car was). this production im working on rn is rly stressing me out, woke up this morning and changed 90% of it...we shoot on thursday -___- but at least now it's less complicated.

i think i'm in a slump. i naively thought that by getting a job life would get greater but these past month i've been feeling so ancious to the point that it's messing up my sleeping schedule. idk it sucks and i don't really know what i can do about it. luckily idol producer has been able to distractact me a little bit.

I don't really know either, especially if the source of anxiety isn't clear, but some people say trying to stay on a schedule, get enough sleep, lay off sugar and caffeine, and exercise help. Course, that sounds like what helps everything.

Regardless, I hope it gets better so you can at least sleep more normally.
