North Korean leader to meet with US President

President Donald Trump will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un by May, the South Korean national security adviser announced Thursday at the White House.

Kim told the South Koreans "he is committed to denuclearization" and pledged North Korea will "refrain from any further nuclear or missile tests" South Korean national security adviser Chung Eui-Yong said Thursday from the White House.

Kim also told the South Koreans he understands that the US and South Korea will move forward with their joint military exercises later this year.

"He expressed his eagerness to meet President Trump as soon as possible," Chung said.

North Korea has never imposed genocidal sanctions nor embargoes, invade, flattened any country nor killed off 20% of a country’s population nor actually used nuclear weapons on anyone. Unlike the US, it isn’t at war with seven countries and doesn’t have a military budget that is more than the next eight countries combined yet the conversation is never about the United States getting rid of its nukes. Funny. Actually the DPRK has wanted a peace treaty for years with the support of progressive South Korean leaders to get the US out of the peninsula so Korea will finally be a sovereign state—it was shot down by the Obama Administration—but that is never the narrative you hear in the US media.
