[TW] Second Victim Comes Forward, Accuses Disgraced Governor Ahn Hee-Jung Of Rape

Another woman has come forward claiming she was raped by former South Chungcheong Province Governor An Hee-jung.

The victim is a staffer of a think tank launched by An and plans to file charges soon, a spokesman from the national sexual assault hotline said on Wednesday.

Earlier, An's secretary Kim Ji-eun claimed he raped her several times during business trips abroad.

The second woman told the hotline that An raped her three times and sexually harassed her repeatedly since October 2015.

She was quoted as saying, "I was shocked when I saw the TV interview with Kim Ji-eun and decided to speak out."

Meanwhile, An, who resigned on Tuesday and posted a mea culpa on Facebook, abruptly canceled a press conference scheduled for this afternoon at the last minute. An's aide texted reporters that he figured that it would be better to await the findings of prosecutors ahead of an official apology.

My co-worker said that he was like a golden boy to the media and people and probably a presidential hopeful... so when the news came out, she was really shocked because he was held in such high regard I guess. So he's probably waiting to see if he could brush it under the rug and keep being a presidential hopeful or whatever. But now a second person came out. Lmao go back to the underground boy, bye.
