According to a report from instiz, a woman ("A") has broken her silence after 12 years.

In 2005, when she was 18 (underage in Korea), she was raped by gagman "Lee", who was 24 at the time. She was an international student visiting Korea during the Summer and happened to meet Lee. Lee "took advantage" of her because she didn't realize who he was at the time. During their 2nd meeting at his apartment, where the two were alone, Lee had forced himself onto her and raped her, even after knowing that she had no sexual experience. She was so scared and traumatized after the events, she used her friend's ID just so she could get birth control. The two had then stopped contacting each other for the rest of the summer until he had contacted her on Cyworld months later, asking her how her winter vacation was.

Clarification from translator: Using the term "International" as the girl was studying abroad. It is not clear if she is Korean, but she was not studying in Korea the summer these events happened. She only has come forward because of the MeToo movement in Korea.

Lee has responded to the accusations against him

Lee states that he had met A in a bar, so it never came across that she could have been a minor. "I would be stupid to keep seeing her if I knew as a celeb
Lee then says after "raping" her, he only then realized A was underaged, thus he broke contact with her. Lee claims that with the MeToo movement, A is trying to seek an agreement with this case, and she will keep quiet if they agree to a sum of money.
On Feb 28th before this case broke, Lee also received a text message from someone claiming to be A's lawyer threatening that he could face a life sentencing, and if they couldn't reach a monetary agreement, they would sue A and contact media to release articles.
Lee has also stated: "If everything is true, I will kill myself right now by hanging."
