The cast members of JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything” put their music and performance skills to the test on the show’s February 17 episode.

Last week, Kang Ho Dong, Kim Young Chul, Min Kyung Hoon, and Super Junior’s Kim Heechul divided into three separate teams to compete in a music video battle. The three teams then recruited Yoo Se Yoon, Song Eun Yi, and Super Junior’s Shindong as directors for their music videos.

Shindong, Min Kyung Hoon, and Kim Heechul teamed up to shoot an action-packed music video using stuntmen. Although the two teammates cracked up at each other’s acting, they stunned everyone with their performance of the new track “Aftereffects” (literal title).

I'm still upset that one performance killed Heechul's self esteem.
I really like this song - it's unfair to have one actual serious song up against one club song and a comedy song.

What happened during the performance that killed Heechul's self-esteem?

I think OP's talking about the time his voice cracked during a suju performance? He said it was really humiliating and he had stage fright for a while afterward. It was a million years ago when he was a rookie, but I think it's true that it must have had a big impact. He just lost so much confidence and everyone (including me tbh) dismissed him as having only variety skills. He's actually a compelling performer and a pretty good singer by idol standards. Also after the car accident early on he couldn't really keep up with suju choreography anymore and they had to limit his parts even more. Not that he was ever a great dancer or anything, but it's just kind of sad that all this shit happened and he never got to develop into solo material. I could see him having like a j-rock inspired solo concept if things had gone differently.

Ahhhh I see. Thanks so much for answering my question! It must have been quite traumatising for him, especially as a rookie. T.T
Tbh, I didn't think he was a very good singer back then too, but I'm really glad that he's started to sing more in recent years.

Well that MV had me tearing up. I knew what was going to happen but still couldn't help crying. Kyunghoon and Heechul need to make a whole album together.

I like the song and Heechul rly is underrated as an actual singer, he did well.

I can't tell if the Ask Us Anything classroom studio lighting hides their age or if the lighting in the live perf set up is just rly bad cuz Kyung Hoon is looking older than I've ever seen him.
