not to be dramatiqué but sometimes (like right now) i wish i had never watched the lucifer mv all those years ago and that i'd never known shinee so i wouldn't be dealing with this heartbreak and this sadness right now but then i remember that so many good things in my life happened because i happened to watch one music video one day and it's just...complicated. everything hurts. i'm very sad.

i want to join the figure skating fandom (lol) somebody please help. who should i follow? what should i expect once the olympics are over? i need smth new to keep my mind occupied!!!

I've gotten so into figure skating this Olympics! Probably not enough to follow everything, but I definitely think I'll try to be more aware of what's happening and follow the big events. I do know that Worlds are at the end of March, so that's something to look forward to!

The Olympics (as always) have taken over my life and I love it.

showminomoney and I have started watching a 4 ep drama called Short (2 eps have already aired, the other 2 will air Monday/Tuesday) about short track speed skaters (so it's Olympics adjacent) and it's totally great and adorable. I'm already really sad it'll be over soon, I would have loved it to be at least a 12 ep drama. I would like to think OCN gave us this cute drama as restitution for the mess that is Longing Heart. It has Kang Tae Oh from 5urprise, Doyeon from Weki Meki, and Son Jin Oppa from GG1979 (Yeo Hoi Hyeon). Check it out if you want something cute and short.

I'll be (hopefully) streaming the Dome concert audio tomorrow so I'll probably be a sobbing mess at this time tomorrow night. I just hope they'll be able to get through it okay.

I love Yuzuru Hanyu. I'm such a mess over this competition. Poor Nathan :(:(:( I want everyone to do their best really.

I'm also dragging myself to the movies to see Black Panther tonight. I have the flu, feel like shit and am a disgusting mess, but I pre-ordered tickets weeks ago, and I live in a small town where there's usually 5 other people in attendance so hopefully I can find a good empty corner and others can stay out my mucus danger zone.

I read this disgusting sexual violence post on tumblr that was so vile I almost wanted to throw up. It was the kind of thing you want to show so other people know but also you wish you hadn't seen for yourself so I just couldn't... Then this latest school shooting, combined with my own mental thoughts and thinking of Shinee. Whatever feed inside me that holds trauma is just blending it up and I don't have distraction methods because there's only so much I can even take of my own hobbies. I need some newness.

I did see Astro last week in New York! Which was a great experience because I was too focus on getting places and being in places to stare at my phone. It helps when signal cuts off in subways. Of course, the boys were everything they are and have become a source of strength for me but then I feel too dependable like everything's boring unless they've just posted something lol.

I might make a post about their North American tour. Come on Omona, let these rising princes into your hearts.

I'm actually glad I'm working the entire weekend because I'm not ready for real time updates on SHINee's concerts.. I know they've opened up the upper-most level of Kyocera dome to fit all the fans inside the arena, which I'm happy about..

10 days until the concert I'm going to.. The seats have not been announced yet and I'm not sure if I want arena seats (the arena-areas are not A,B,C---F etc but form S-H-I-N-e-e and it's so ❤️) or stand seats..

The new year messages posted online for Shawols were hard to see. I'm glad they're still using the same background stamp with Jonghyun's name on it.. but the fact that Key's message was beneath Onew.. I just :CCCC

The Olympics!!!! I love them so so so much. The men's short program last night left me all kinds of emotional. i'm so happy for yuzuru (king) and shoma (my personal fave) but devastated for nathan. i really hope he can put up a free skate with no regrets tonight.

i think in spite of all the cynicism and sucky stuff going around the world, the Olympics will never lose their magic for me. they're really special, and they mean so much to me lol, i even feel a bit ridiculous thinking about how emotional i get over them

I agree. Like I understand the IOC is corrupt etc., but the actual competition draws me in like nothing else. I get even more into it now that technology has advanced to the point where I can watch whatever event I want whenever I want, and not rely on NBC's busted and chopped primetime coverage.

This is gonna be the highlight of my life since I've been in a really bad place lately, maybe it's the weather (1st Winter in Canada yay!) or maybe I miss my family or I don't know I feel like everything goes wrong and I'm sad all the time lol. Since I need my escapism in KDramas I started Misty this week and I love it so far, the lead actress is fierce and it's intriguing. I also started Eulachacha Waikiki and I enjoy it, the baby in it is just so darn cute. I also started on Radio Romance and Doojoon <333.

The American media is a parasitic waste when it comes to their figure skaters. They do not help their skaters, only generate mild interest among non-fans on false premises... and watch them abandon Nathan after this. Like you said he's just a kid, and a great one! Imagine if he got proper support and development onwards to Beijing instead of this :(

i'm working from home today and time seems to go by so slowly 😒😒. i'm actually quite happy i got to stay home today cause i needed a break from my colleagues lol. they're nice and everything but i still need to get used to them haha.

also i've waking up again waaaaay before my alarm goes off but the weird thing is is that i wake up with like an anxious feeling. like my heart will be beating like crazy as if someone scared me. i don't know where it comes from but it scares me and tires me out tremendously.

Hello Omona!!

I LOVE the Olympics. When the Olympics are happening it’s what I live and breathe for during the whole thing. Thank god im still at my parents house since they have cable LOL.

About three weeks ago I finally did something I’ve always wanted and got a nose job. After I was able to take off the cast and bandages I was really happy with how it looked, but a few days ago I discovered a bump on my nose (cosmetically speaking). I reached out to the office and they told me to just wait until my next post-op in two weeks. I just really hope I don’t have to go under again and deal with the healing process again, especially since I’ve started job hunting again.

Speaking of job hunting, it sounds like I’m about to get an interview for a contract with a major company!! Wish me luck that I actually get it!

physics finals in 4 days and i am panicky but also not

current state of the world is disheartening but i can now listen to shinee songs without feeling unbelievably sad so that's nice i guess. i can't imagine a day when i can remember him wholeheartedly without feeling my heart sink but it's getting better.

i wanna see black panther so bad. but aside from my brother, i have no one to watch it with, and he only gets one day off a week. guess i'm waitin' for the blu-ray!

i had my phone appointment with SSA on monday and successfully filed my SSI application! i'm supposed to receive some additional forms to fill out. they also said i might be eligible for some of my dad's benefits, so i applied for that, too.
they said i did an "excellent" job filling out the medical report. i thought i was doing the bare minimum (names, addresses, phone numbers), but hey, thanks for the confidence booster.
i don't expect anything, but it'd be cool if i got something outta all this, lol.

that school shooting was terrible. i know people around that area, and they're all fine, but it's sad knowing that a lot of parents won't get to see their kids again.
and the GOP delivered the same copy/paste response that i expected. if now's not the time to talk about legislation, when will it be?

i haven't watched much of the olympics this year. it just seems weird since it's on such a huge delay here, lol. loved seeing mirai nagasu nail that triple axel, though.

I think a lot of people screw up the medical thing. IE I didn't know a lot of my exact date so I had to guess them or put in this year to that year. It's hard to remember it all when you have records oing back for years.

I hope you are able to get something and it'll be good for you if you can get some of your dads too. I know when you get the bare minimum (my mom gets around $700) it doesn't go far after rent, necessity stuff, etc etc.

i've been pretty depressed this week. since going to the denitst on tuesday it kinda just went downhill from there.
