On February 12, SM Entertainment confirmed that Oh Sehun will be starring as the lead of web film Dokgo Rewind.

Dokgo Rewind is based on a popular webtoon of the same name. Sehun will play the role of Kang Hyuk, who attempts revenge on a school gang for his older brother who passed away due to violence. The film will follow Kang Hyuk’s developing friendship with Tae Jin, a former wrestler, and Jong Il, who is trying to leave the school gang.

The web film is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2018.

idk if we had other post about these but according Sehun's wiki he's going to be in a Netflix Korean crime investigation variety show called The Culprit is You. It's set to air in March. I believe Suho's supposed to be on it too. He also has a movie called Catman (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catman_(film)) set to supposedly be released this year. I say supposedly because this was filmed in 2016 according to wiki. Anyone know why it took so long to release. And he also got the lead in a kdrama set to air in 2019 called Dear Archimedes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dear_Archimedes).

Catman and Dear Archimedes are both Chinese drama's, from what I know. Release dates in China are always a little up in the air, but I assumed the projects got heavily delayed because of the co-production with South Korea and the issues regarding THAAD?

Yeah, I didn't pay enough attention to the fact that they we Chinese dramas. Maybe they are hoping to have THAAD will be resolved enough to release these things by late 2018? idk if I'd bet on that though.

Very excited for this. Catman and Dear Archimedes have been stuck in post-production hell since 2016, I assume because of THAAD, so I'm glad he finally got the lead in a domestic drama/film. He was the funniest part of EXO Next Door and had great chemistry with the brother lmao so I really just want to see more of his acting chops. Dokgo Rewind sounds like it has a lot of action too, which he's wanted to try, so yay.

I like that this seems to be about friends and bromance. It seems a lot easier to imagine Sehun doing all that (EXO Next Door) than romancing the ladies.

It seems to be more action, but maybe that changes. I'm reading it right now because a link popped up on my tumblr feed and yeah it's pretty violent. The brother hasn't died yet so maybe it will be more bromance after that?

I may check out the netflix thing if it's kind of a spooky scary who done it, clue type mystery. But I doubt it'd be that fun.

Watch out Hollywood. If k-pop groups can show up and win music awards, then Korean actresses and actors will be coming for the TV and Film awards because it's about damn time. Sehun will get an Emmy, DO an Oscar, and IU will win everything else because why not.

Yes I would believe because everyone should think about IU occasionally, at least every other day bare minimum. And want her where they live. IU in your area! It all needs to happen. Along with Steven Yeun getting a leading part and getting an award too.

I'm here for Sunmi and Boa co-parenting a grammy together. That should turn into a kdrama that will win them both Emmy's. Sunmi for writing. Boa for lead actress.

I looked it up and no she hasn't come to the US according to Wiki. She's only been to SK, Japan, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan. tbh she hasn't toured as much as I would have thought she would have. But it could be srong. I swear I thought she showed up for a few shows for GD's Motte tour, one being in the UK. But idk maybe I'm wrong?

We do and we will make it happen. I keep holding out for an Asian to win an Oscar. I think like Viola/a POC winning it it will take a long time though.

oh i thought she only showed up in Hong Kong, but honestly i don't know. and she definitely could have a successful tour! fingers crossed for an european date, though i am not holding my breath

god honestly it's insane that no Asian actor has ever won an oscar. the last of representation is just startling. i personally adore john cho (i call him joy cho bc he brings me joy), i think he's an incredibly charismatic actor that's a joy (ha) to watch on screen and i'm really sad that we only get to see him once in a blue moon in movies (slightly better when it comes to tv but let's be real, it's straps)

Actually looking at it again she has done a bit of concerts but all in the same place. Like in 2013 she did 12 concerts but only in SK. But maybe she was still unknown and she was doing small venues? Yeah Europe gets nothing. I feel bad for you guys. tbh I hate that honestly the only ones in the US are in NY or CA. Who can afford to fly to either of those places? And yeah, asking Europeans to fly to SK or the USA is way too much.

My hope is with Crazy Rich Asians coming out it will garner some attention and noms for Asians and it will open the door for it. I was looking at Steven's imbd and he did a movie called Burning that's based off of Haruki Murakami's Burning Barn. I know people feel a certain kinda way about Murakami, but I think it's going to be an all Asian cast so I'm hoping it ends up being successful. John Cho is so good. But he's probably been typecast, doesn't get many opportunities because of being Asian. So he doesn't get to do much.

It doesn't come out until March 2018, so it's not out yet. I'd imagine it will be in the middle of March because they have two bog things coming out, one at the start (Jessica Jones) and at the end fof the month (series of unfortunate events s2). When it comes out I'll make a post and can PM you with links. idk what sites it will be on though because I'm sure none of them want to mess w/ Netflix. Netflix would prob try and take them down. It may have to be a download or torrent thing. idk maybe someone else can better inform you about what sites may have it.

tbh I think this will be the first time we are seeing him act outside of Next Door. His other two things he did have been stuck in production hell from what I've learned. I'm reading it now and idk this will def have to pull off a very bad ass aura from him. But I think the character is def going to be multi layered. I haven't gotten far yet.

He could surprise everyone and be incredibly good. I know there were some people who doubted DO and god this recent films have won him a lot of accolades. But maybe I'm being optimistic.

Sehun seems to find a lot of freedom in acting the same way DO does so hopefully it means he'll be one of the better actors in the group. Which i'm surprised so many of them are pretty good, or at least know to pick roles closer to their comfort zones.
