Hurricane Venus came out right when I was realizing I was really into kpop lmao and it made me love BoA. Before that I knew her during my anime days and didn't much about her past a few songs (like Every Heart, huge fan lol) but Hurricane Venus came out and made me realize now I'm a fan for life lol

Oh and I agree, I only watched the MV once. No desire to really watch again, it's not like Only One I've replayed 100+ times on youtube

i remember when HV came out, a sub-unit called Homme (consisted of 2AM's Changmin & 8-eight's Lee Hyun) made their debut, and i was so fixated on both songs at the time. there was even an episode of Music Bank where both songs were nominated for #1 haha

only one is SO pretty, and the dancing .. five stars!

Haha yea, Every Heart is a song used for Inuyasha....I was a big fan back then lol 😅 I still find it super pretty! I also love Masayume Chasing and that's used for Fairy Tale - I know absolutely nothing about that anime besides its famous lol

Gorgeous. Nega Dola has really grown on me, BoA going the trendy route has really worked for me in the past so idk why I was hesitant at first. Still not sure if her new Jp album will turn out to be any gold but I hope for a pleasant surprise.

I think the Japanese to Korean remake albums she released early on in her career were branded mini albums? Not that they had ep length, but that aside.

I would love to do a introduction post to BoA and her career for her comeback, would anyone be interested in that?

Her Korean comebacks pre Only One were EXPLOSIVE regardless of whether or not her choreo was easy to mirror. And her Japanese releases omg—I remembered when everyone was like OMG SHES GOING SEXY WHY when she released the teasers for Quincy and everyone was shookT but it was a good single either way. Ahhhh I could say a lot of things about her career I was so glad to be present for the most part of it!!!

I personally didn't get into BoA until I discovered Jpop/Kpop in the 2007-2009 period, but she's been one of my favourite soloists nevertheless. Her Japanese material in particular is like.... a little dated in ways now but so fucking solid no matter what! Like yourself I could talk about her and her music for hours so that's why I'd love to make a few long rambly posts about her entire career lmao
