Song Seung-heon and Chinese actress Liu Yifei break up

Actor Song Seung-heon and Chinese-American actress Liu Yifei ended their 3-year-long relationship, his agency confirmed Thursday.

The Better ENT said the couple decided to "remain as friends" after having a hard time due to their busy schedules and long physical distance.

In August, 2015, the two stars confirmed they were dating. They became close while appearing in the Chinese romantic flick, "The Third Way of Love," together in 2014. Since then, photos surfaced showing the two dating in Korea and China. At one time, she was seen attending Song's birthday party in Korea.

The star of "Autumn in My Heart," which was popular around Asia, Song, 41, most recently starred in SBS' "Saimdang, Memoir of Colors" and OCN's TV series "Black." Liu, 30, a popular actress as well as a singer, is scheduled to play the lead role in Disney's live-action adaptation of "Mulan."



I forgot that they were together. Cautiously looking forward for Mulan.

there are ugly, xenophobic stereotypes about Chinese women. I've heard nonsense like they all have bad tempers, or they only care about materialistic shit. I had two Chinese roommates in my last year of uni, and I got asked stuff like that multiple times when I made the mistake of mentioning it to ignorant assholes. One of them was one of the loveliest girls I've ever met, and she gave me presents for graduating and the other was a bubbly workaholic who literally ran everywhere bc she didn't want to waste a second that she could have spent working on her portfolio.
