Girl group Bulldok has officially disbanded. The girl group was comprised of members who were former “Produce 101 Season 1” trainees and debuted in October 2016.

Previously, Hyung Eun left the group in May 2017 and Sora left the group in September 2017 respectively.

“Hello, this is the mannager of InnoK Entertainment.

“Currently our company name has changed from KCONIC Entertainment to InnoK Entertainment.

“Due to various reasons, girl group Bulldok’s team activities have been temporarily suspended. The members are working hard and preparing to show good images through individual activities instead of team activities.

“We should have informed you earlier. We apologize for letting you know now.

“We ask for unchanged support and love for Bulldok members who are going on their separate paths.

“We will update the official InnoK Entertainment page with news about our artists’ activities and schedules in the future.

“We would like to sincerely express our thanks and apologies for the unchanged love and interest you have given us thus far..

“We ask for continued interest and love in our company’s artists including singers, actors, and others who are preparing for activities.

“Happy New Year. We hope that 2018 will be a healthy year for you. Thank you.”

awh :( i really liked their debut song! plus, i don't get why the agency changed their name, kconic wasn't that bad tbh. they're debuting a new girl group called AZM by the end of this month.

Though I'm still a bit sad

I'm actually really disappointed about this. I love "Why Not" and hoped that they would continue despite their long absence from the scene. hopefully the members can still make music.

"temporarily suspended" doesn't sound like an official disbandment? not that I was expecting them to have a comeback though.
oh well. another nugu girl group with tough concept bites the dust. 😔

Yeah, it doesn't sound like an official disbandment to me either.

With the label changing it's name, I wonder if something is happening behind the scenes with higher-ups or investors and the name "Bulldok" will be out of the hands of whoever was making these decisions. I think they'll probably have new members or something and re-brand Bulldok because it might be the only buzz they'll have.

I hope it doesn't go the route of Piggy Dolls who just disappeared then reappeared with all new members and a different concept :/ and only the name was the same

What I hate is that everyone keeps looking at these girl crush concept groups flopping and saying "See? We need 500 more Gfriend knock offs, it's the only way!" when literally none of these groups stood a chance from the beginning because they came from terrible companies with zero money or little or no experience. If a decent company (not even big three, just mid-tier!) put all their resources behind a girl group like this I think they could find great success. Tons of pure concepts come out from nugu companies and flop every month, but no one says anything... yet when these concepts flop people blame it on the concept LOL.

Anyway, I kind of expected from the beginning that this group wouldn't make it because their company didn't seem very legit - their debut was at that level of low budget that tells you they never had enough money to debut an idol group to begin with, much less make one last.

i think ppl notice nugu girl groups w tough concepts debuting and disbanding bc it's usually only broke companies that have the courage to debut them in the first place? other than cube i can't think of many non-yg companies with any money or status that have tried. also, this is just a guess, but i think tough concept groups are more likely to change their concept bc it's not immediately profitable (i.e. sonamoo), whereas pure concept groups can stick with it even if they flop at first.

you're definitely right though, a lot of people only seem to notice disbandments when they're tough groups.

oh definitely, it seems like none of the bigger companies are even trying it so they're all from nuguville. it's a shame though because 2ne1 and 4minute proved it can work (and tbf Cube were pretty nugu when 4minute debuted so it's even more impressive!)

Sonamoo makes me so sad cuz even switching concepts they're still super unpopular, which just further goes to show that going cutesy isn't the cure-all a lot of companies think it will be lol I actually strongly suspect Sonamoo would be doing a lot better now if they had stuck with their original concept because they had a lot of international interest and it immediately disappeared when they switched concepts - now they have no international fanbase AND no Korean fanbase. TS Ent were way too cowardly.

that's a shame about sonamoo... but to be fair, i like u too much is my fav song of theirs by lightyears and one of my fav songs of all time. but i also like their current concept. idk, their company is a mess and i hope they find success.
