omonatheydidAn acquaintance of Park Yoochun has filed a lawsuit against him.
According to Yonhap News on January 17, Park Yoochun’s acquaintance “A” sued him for the charge of negligence resulting in injury. In 2011, “A” visited Park Yoochun’s house and was bitten in the eye area by his dog. It is reported that “A” didn’t take legal action at the time after having received an apology, but as the aftereffects of continuous treatment became more severe, decided to file a lawsuit.
According to Park Yoochun’s agency, C-JeS Entertainment, “A” was the acquaintance of Park Yoochun’s manager at the time and “A” had gone out to the veranda to look at Park Yoochun’s dog when they were attacked. The agency further stated that Park Yoochun and his manager had visited “A” in the hospital to apologize and that Park Yoochun had paid for the treatment through his manager.
The agency said, “Last week ‘A’ sent us a request for compensation of 1.2 billion won (about $1.1 million). We only learned about the lawsuit today. Park Yoochun had not had any contact with that person for 7 years, so he didn’t know that ‘A’ was still receiving treatment. We are currently reviewing the documents that were sent to us.”
The agency concluded by saying that they are reviewing the details of the case through the police investigation and will work to solve the issue as soon as possible after checking the truth of those details.
The victim apparently had over 80 stitches and repeated surgeries over the past 7 years.
