Don't be. Hyungdon sexually harassed/molested him on WI a few years ago and he's been uncomfortable on the show ever since (sans the time it was Hani and Heechul hosting). It's honestly a relief he's not there.
It happened during the Last Romeo era episode. You can tell how shaken Sungyeol was by it by watching the Bad era ep after because his body language and mannerism are super telling. :/
Eh, it's more like he was busy with his drama so he couldn't. They made him go with Dongwoo and Sungjong for the anniversary stuff in the fall and the difference between his appearance there and his previous one with Heechul/Hani/Coni is stark.
