Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we’ll be going back to the 4th week in December, 2012. Once again, this year is proving to be a big black hole. I don’t remember any of these songs, or any of the videos. Do you remember these?


#3 Secret “Talk That”
Okay, foreals where is Secret? Did I miss some breakup news? They’re still together, right? I think they all look pretty in this video. I also found my lookbook for New Years, sequins and faux fur.

#2 Lee Seung Gi “The Return”
Oh, this video is really good, I really like it! Is there a part 2 for this? He could totally do a part 2 for this. I really like the song too. Sentimental, but not sappy. Did you ever slap a boy in the school hallways, Omona? OP says yes. How you gonna talk to me every night on the phone until 3am and then ask someone else to Junior Prom, Andrew? Anyways, this MV stars actress Kim Yoo Jung.

#1 Yang Yoseop “Caffeine”
I didn’t even know he did solo stuff! But this song was on the charts for a few weeks, so he did well. Tell me this got used for a coffee CF. I like the look of this video, especially the design of that one main room.

#4 Juniel “Bad Man”
I think I knew she has a song with this title, but I didn’t know the song itself. I really like this hair on her. OP spent all 4:08 of this MV looking for bunnies.

#5 Nell “White Night”
I like this song, it’s really pretty. Don’t quite understand the video, though. Time travel déjà vu stuff? The ring is the key to the tardis and/or someone moved the island? It features actress Im Soo Jung, who looks so gorgeous in this, despite what is going on around her. Speaking of Lost, she kind of looks like Kim Yunjin in that screencap.

Talk That!!! Still love this song so much ❤ It's catchy, mature, they all sound good (Hana singing!) and I still wish they could have performed this one longer.
About the group, I'm so fucking pissed lol. When it was announced that Sunhwa had left the group and the company (she had mentally checked out a long time ago anyway), TS announced a Secret comeback for 2017's second half. WHERE IS IT? T_T The girls were barely active on top of that, Hana had nothing as usual, Hyosung and Jieun had a drama each but not even a solo single, and just one OST for Jieun. I understand TS focusing on labelmates but then, why not simply disband the group and let everyone move on??? Secret should have been so much bigger than they were anyway. What a shitty company they're stuck in.

Ugh I love Talk That. The car crash ruining those promos sucked on so many levels. I miss Secret....esp Hyosung. And as much as I love Sonamoo (with a deep undying love. Their last single was AMAZING.) I wish we could have Secret too :(

Bless secret. Sunhwa pissed all over them as she left - bless Hyosung to try and damage control, only to be undermined by Sunhwa again - and TS but is just holding them. I hope Hana gets herself SOMETHING solo soon TBQH

Talk That was such a great song, and so was most of Secret's singles (the non-cutesy ones of course). echoing similar comments above, I truly wish for a day when they would still come back and give us more bops.

I wish kpop was still like talk that. The ott glammed up sexy looks, dance scenes in rooms with geometric backgrounds, super dramatic MVs lmao. Also it was really easy to do this dance.
