Actress Hwang Jung Eum makes generous donation to Save the Children

On December 18, actress Hwang Jung Eum donated 100 million won (approximately $90,106) to sick children.

The donation was made to the non-governmental organization (NGO) Save the Children for the medical fees of low-income children. Save the Children pays for the surgeries and treatment of children who were diagnosed with illnesses but couldn’t get treated due to the cost. The organization also pays for the examination fees of children whose families cannot afford it. The donation she made will be used to support these children’s medical bills. Hwang Jung Eum said, “I want to donate to help sick children. I hope this can be warm and meaningful to them.”

This isn’t the first time Hwang Jung Eum has donated to the needy. In 2012, she held a charity bazaar with singer Ivy, and in 2015, she donated some of her belongings with her “She Was Pretty” co-star Park Seo Joon for a charity auction.
