There were a limited number of magic girl animes that I was exposed to in my early childhood years (think late 90s) but I was obsessed with them. Only now am I getting around to properly watching all of them though, but there is so much :P

Haha yeah same the only ones I saw back in those days was Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura and Tokyo Mew Mew in all its butchered English dub glory :p I sadly haven't seen many others bc I watch too many things but you can't go too wrong with supportive magic girls fighting together!! There's the new Sailor Moon if you haven't already seen it?

Not magical girl category but Houseki no Kuni has agender feminine-presenting gem creatures who kick ass and the visuals are amazing including the cgi
