SEVENTEEN’s The8 Taking Break From All Activities Due To Injury

SEVENTEEN’s The8 will be taking a complete break due to health reasons.

For the past month, The8 has not been participating in just some activities that cause strain to his back injury. However, Pledis Entertainment revealed on December 12 that he will now be focusing solely on recovery.

The statement reads, “Following The8’s personal will to promote with his members, he took part in music show promotions for the second studio album while receiving treatment. However, we made the judgment that recovery of The8’s health is priority. After discussing with the doctor, the decision was made for him to take a temporary break, rather than continuing with schedules, and focus on treatment for speedy recovery.”

Until The8’s health is fully recovered, SEVENTEEN will continue all promotions as 12 members.

In his words they decided for a full break not because it was getting worse but so his recovery can be quicker. Pledis has been very consistent with letting artists rest when injuries happen.
