The Unit first eliminations and current rankings

The first eliminations for “The Unit” aired during the December 9 broadcast of “The Unit.”

35 contestants—17 females and 18 males—in total were eliminated, based on the current rankings. Some were saved from elimination depending on the results of last week’s missions. As singer I already withdrew due to her health, 35 instead of 36 contestants were sent home.

During the episode, the leaders of each mission group were given an envelope, and had to announce which contestants would no longer continue with the program. While some leaders thankfully received a piece of paper that said, “There are no eliminated contestants [in your group],” others weren’t so lucky.

I think someone else should be on the top spot rather than Timoteo, but I also don't think he got there solely through the sheer force of Taemin's tears. Even as a fan I'm not sure Taemin is that powerful lol if so he would've gotten multiple #1 wins for Move as he deserves. Imho Hotshot having members in PD101/Wanna One/JBJ may also play a role in Timoteo's rank as well as Hojung's, who hasn't really stood out either.

Jeup's rise from 40 > 22 > 10 is really something else, truly a dark horse.

yeah, I don't think timoteo #1 spot is only because of his sob story with taemin, but also because of w1 and jbj fans. and I also think this + the fact that he's always with the popular guys on the show also helps him to keep the #1. it's like a vicious cycle, he gets more popular because he's already popular, if that makes sense lol

the strange thing for me is that I would bet that hojung would end up being THE hotshot guy on this show because I feel like his visuals are exactly what people want for idols? I didn't think timoteo would hold his #1 for this long tbh.

the editing for this show has been pretty shabby... not a lot of suspense or flow, not even going chronologically. i'm still invested because of the people, but i doubt it'll have that much of a buzz in korea by the time it ends

this show has 0 suspense, both top didn't have drastic changes at all. after watching the subbed ep, I understood some viewers criticism with the show not having a climax.
not to mention that it really looks like kbs doesn't have a lot of money? wtf was that small auditorium to announce the ranks lol if you want to give us a survival show, at least gives us over the top sets please LOL

the best thing from this ep was daewon and jun. I really hope they make the final group.

this show is soooo boring, the only interesting thing was the marco/other kid and madtown guys fights. the eliminations were awfully cruel, i was crying and i literally dont know any of these people. donghyun broke me he was crying and shaking god, so awful.

I am happy that Feeldog is up in the top 10 along with UKiss Jun. Actually looking at the list it makes me happy the people that are in it.

From the one performance I saw I kinda new June from Bigstar would be eliminated I have my fingers crossed that Raehwan from Big Star stays around for awhile. (Can you tell I'm a BIGSTAR fan!)
