They are finally starting to look like different people to me. I have always been able to tell who Seulgi is, but the rest? It is so bizarre because I have literally never had this issue in my 10+ years as a k-pop fan. Like sure, maybe for the first week after learning names I confuse a few people, but I have been trying to learn these girls since debut lmao.

From the Instagram unplayed video is it Wendy, Joy, Seulgi, Irene, Yeri? IDK Joy and Irene still kinda look like the same person to me? Tho maybe I got them all wrong. (except Seulgi.)

Nah, you got them right (with Irene on top of Seulgi). Joy has very distinctive features, imo. She stood out to me the most right from the start! But I'm not blaming you; whenever I get a little interested in a new Kpop Act, it takes me forever to match the members' names and faces. Sometimes I give up.

No i get it actually. Irene is the one whose features I always found the most "basic" despite her utter beauty. It also didn't help that when they first debuted, SM really tried to emphasize their similarities to the point that they sometimes all looked the same (which they really don't ofc), except for the tips of their hair (exhibit 1 (http://i66.tinypic.com/2uz3xw1.jpg) and 2 (http://i63.tinypic.com/25a4s9c.jpg))!!.

Also thats how I feel about Joy. She looks so basic. Fucking gorgeous, but like too perfect? Irene too, but her face is a little moee unique to me I think.

I must say that Irene, Wendy, and Yeri are very typical SM looking, as much as they're gorgeous individuals. So it's very hard to differentiate them at the start, especially for non-fans.

Joy is tall, I believe she's 165-168cm? the other girls are just very tiny and not tall, so it feels like Joy towers over the others. Even Seulgi who is the 2nd tallest is not very tall

Joy has always been significantly taller than the rest, but they played with perspective to hide it pretty frequently during their debut era. Her height is mostly in her legs, so I'd guess she's wearing flatter shoes (or maybe no shoes) in that picture to keep her level with the others.

There's a few places you notice the height difference in the Happiness choreo i.e. Joy bends down so that Irene can hug her.

You can tell Joy and Irene apart by their eyes. Joy has the "eye smile" like Tiffany, where her eyes are pretty straight across but turn down at the corners and squint when she smiles. Irene's eyes turn up at the corners, which gives her this wide-eyed surprised look most of the time.

Thanks! I will keep that in mind. I usually tell them apart by height and SOMETIMES RARELY I see a bit of Jessica in Irene. hahah But I will look for Tiffany's eyes as well haha. I can't wait for the day it all clicks and I am confused as fuck how I ever confused them.

I remember when SHINee debuted I had trouble with Key and Jonghyun and... I will never understand how.
