24 Hours of Reality is The Climate Project's annual 24-hour broadcast designed to highlight climate change and what can be and is being done to prevent it around the globe, with different countries taking the focus of the show for an hour each. The South Korean broadcast (focused on in hour 7) featured an interview with Minzy and Eric Nam, as well as music video-style performances by Minzy (Superwoman) and Jay Park (Yacht, English version). Unfortunately, since this was a livestream and official uploads of the performances may be unlikely, any uploads are low quality, but I'll replace the videos with higher quality ones if they become available (the official channel has only been uploading talk segments so far).
(the South Korean segment lasts about half an hour)
South Korea has the world's 13th highest emissions of greenhouse gases. The country's goals include reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 37% below 'business-as-usual' levels by 2030, as well as for 30% of car sales to be electric cars by 2020. 24 Hours of Reality focuses on grassroots efforts in South Korea, such as Sungdaegol Energy Market as well as campaigner Kim Miya's young people's environmental school.

Date: 2017-12-07 06:35 am (UTC)I personally try to buy only clothes made out of biodegradable fibers, and I try to raise awareness of local environmental issues (like promoting dam removal, Washington Water Trust, DamSense, calling my reps). I also don't eat meat, and I try to avoid dairy. And I switched my mom's cats from clay litter (bad mining practices) to a more environmentally friendly clumping wood litter.
