Musical actor cum singer Kim Junsu will appear on MBC's new variety show, "House of Sharing" (공유의 집).

On the morning of November 6th, multiple insiders told the paper (Hanguk Ilbo) that "Kim Junsu is going to appear on MBC's new pilot program, 'House of Sharing.'" The pre-recorded shooting began on 5th of November at Kim Junsu's house, the main filming is expected to follow.

Gag-man Park Myungsoo and entertainer No Hongchul have been casted as the MCs for "House of Sharing" which is scheduled to air later this month. It is a program where the stars will share their owned items in a house with one another, experiencing the recent trend of "shared/sharing economy."

"Sharing rather than individual possession" is the keyword for the program and the guests will spend 1 night and 2 days together. Hwang Soongyu, the PD for the current affairs program "The Fakes That You Believed," is producing this show.

Kim Junsu will also be having his end of the year concert, '2019 XIA Ballad & Musical Concert With Orchestar Vol. 6,' in December of this year.

Being one of the leading groups of this generation's Hallyu movement (a.k.a. the Korean Wave of pop culture around the globe), do you feel any pressure?

Mina: There is a different pressure between when we first started and now. Now, we feel more pressure to meet and exceed expectations. We are thankful for ONCE’s support and the love we feel from the public at each event. It is very touching.

Momo: We feel pressure from every angle to meet expectations, but the pressure also pushes us in a positive was as well.

Tzuyu: I have noticed that the song lyrics are becoming more relatable, which is making them tougher to perform. Our single “Feel Special” holds very true and sentimental lyrics to ONCE and the public.

Woman jailed for "defamatory" online comments against K-pop diva

A woman has been jailed for making "baseless" hate comments online against K-pop diva Shim Eun-jin.

Seoul Western District Court sentenced the woman to five months' jail on Wednesday, saying she had tarnished the singer's reputation by making "baseless" and "defamatory" comments on websites.

The court also ordered the woman to do 80 hours of a mental treatment program and barred her from working at a welfare facility for children, minors and the disabled for three years.

In a separate case, the woman was accused in July of spreading defamatory rumors against two other celebrities.





She is a member of the first generation girl group Baby V.O.X

The Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency revealed that Yang Hyun Suk has been officially booked on charges of threatening, instigating the harboring of a suspect, and for occupational breach of trust.

Yang Hyun Suk was summoned for police questioning on the morning of November 6 but did not attend, and he expressed his intent to reschedule the questioning.

The allegations that Yang Hyun Suk threatened “A” to change her testimony about B.I came to light in June, when “A” reported to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission about suspicions of YG Entertainment’s corrupt ties to the police.

SBS Reports Produce 101 PD Ahn Joon Young Admits To Manipulating Rankings For “Produce 48” And “Produce X 101”

On November 5, two arrest warrants for production staff of “Produce X 101” were issued, including one for the show’s PD Ahn Joon Young. (SBS reported that the police had requested an arrest warrant for Ahn Joon Young and other producers after the producers tried to destroy evidence like mobile phone messages and related materials.)

Ahn Joon Young is a PD under CJ ENM who has supervised several survival programs at Mnet between 2010 and 2019. He has worked on all four seasons of “Produce 101,” including the most recent “Produce X 101.”

SBS reports that during police questioning, Ahn Joon Young admitted to the suspicions of manipulating the rankings of “Produce X 101” and “Produce 48.” He denied the suspicions of manipulation of the first and second seasons of “Produce 101.”

Ahn Joon Young has been arrested on suspicions such as fraud and breach of trust by taking bribery. According to SBS, the police have found that starting from the second half of last year, Ahn Joon Young has been entertained over 40 times at an adult entertainment establishment in Gangnam, paid for by agencies. The total amount spent for this is said to be over 100 million won (approximately $86,355). It has not been confirmed whether the agencies in question are related to idols that benefited from the ranking manipulation.
